    I RECEIVED A DADA CHARGE ON BILL AND DID RECEIVE EMAIL FROM THEM BUT DID NOT ACCEPT WHAT IT IS. I DON’T KNOW WHO SENT IT TO ME BUT DADA(888-214-0381) WILL NOT CREDIT MY BILL SAID SOMEONE DID IT. IT COULD BE ANYONE PUTTING IN ANY # AND THE RECEIVER NOT AWARE WHAT IT IS BUT TOO LATE TO STOP CHARGES AND DADA NOT ANY HELP AT ALL THEY JUST WANT THEIR $$. WHAT AN UNJUST WAY TO DO SO. I WOULD APPRECIATE COMPLETE CREDIT BACK

    My current Alltel bill had charges described as “75714 ringaza alerts” $9.99. I had the Alltel rep cancel this service for me. She gave me their phone number 8666166076. I am going to call them soon and see if they remove the charges

    This is the second time writing a complaint about fraudulent charges on my alltel bill. The first time was from this thing called horo movie updates that I never signed up for. Alltel charged me $9.99 for this subscription and addtional charges per text. After contacting Alltel about this they told me to text back stop and that they would not take the charges off. They were absolutle no help at all. Now, a month later, I am getting more spam texts from a salvador@funbasics.com. I contacted Alltel again. The rep said he was sorry and to text back stop. I told him that didn’t stop other sites from spam texting me and asked what Alltel was going to do about it. He basically said it was my problem to deal with. After about 15 minutes of a heated argument with this “caring and responsible” Alltel rep, he hung up on me! Alltel is more than glad to take your money and get your business, but when it comes time for them to take responsability for their services and protect their customers they seem to “have their hands tied.” WILL SOMEONE PLEASE STAND UP AND TAKE RESPONSABILITY FOR YOUR CHARGES?

    For 3 months I have tried to stop these charges from zapters.com & dada.net whom neither one do I know what it is. I have text them and called them, & went to thier web sites following the instructions for each to “unsubscribe” and each month I am charged $9.99 for each and it never stops. Neither party feels they should reimburst me my $60.00+ or for the pryor months I didn’t catch on bill.

    $9.99 was charged to our Sept. and Oct. Alltel bills by HORO-TV-MOVIES UPDATES. We never ordered this. There is no way to reach this company and I am receiving no service from them. This is absolutely WRONG.

    I made contact with RINGAZA they said they would unscribe me from their service. They e-mailed me the terms and conditions, I never seen the terms and contitions until 10-26-07, I paid them for 3 months. they refuse to make a refund. I think they are scamming people.

    I did not text for this service. I have never text on this phone…I don’t even use the phone but am stuck in the plan. I do not know how this smsfunnow daily alert for .99 per day got on my phone. I called Alltel…they said someone must have texted for this service…but…they see NO texting or record of this on the phone….the smsfunnow.com have a phone number that is constantly busy. I have never texted…I am angry about this…bogus! Alltel did put a block on the phone for this company and credited my phone bill for $20.00 total charges for this bogus company was for $26.73 but am sure this will show up again on my next bill. How can a person keep this from happening again? Alltel said I had to get a supeona (misspelled?) in order to have this company checked out. I am angry about this! Doesn’t make sense…If a person hasn’t texted then how can one subscribe? You can’t do it online either.

    My son’s phone has been billed for a $9.99 subscription that he never signed up for. Alltel is VERY UNWILLING to reverse charges or apply a refund. I believe that Alltel is also profiting from this scam, hence the unwillingness to assist their customers. Predatory policies like this runs rampant in the cell-phone market and I would expect more from Alltel. But, I guess I can live to be disappointed continually by these less-than-morale companies.

    I am being billed for 2 Axcess Charges, 1 is for 66047 MM Test Alerts.( I do not even have text messaging) so I am being 9.99 for this plus the incoming test messages it sends at all hours, also I am being billed for 75714 Ringaza Alerts, 9.99 I’m not even sure what this is. Has anyone contacted a lawyer, do we have to sue alltell and these other places. I know I did not authorize any of these Purchases, Sincerely Belinda Nash

    I was on the New Mexico Lobo website and got an offer for FREE ringtones. I was not able to get them, but got a message saying I would get jokes instead. I tried to cancel and said I did not want this or to subscribe to anything, etc. Charges started showing up on my alltel bill in October, I called to complain and they gave me three different numbers to call and cancel some services I did not sign up for in the first place. I’m going to file a complaint with FCC

    I have the same problem with alltel billing my husbands cell phone for the ringaza that my husband never subscribed to. This insane. He sent a stop text back to them the first time when we seen it on our bill then the next month it wasn’t on there. Now this month its back on there. I don’t get it. They need to keep track of who really signs up and not billing just anyone like me and my husband!

    i just got my cellphone bill and on there i found ringaza alerts, csw jokes/horoscopes 3 different times and dada.net plus another one that was just numbers i have not ordered any of this and don’t know where it has come from but it needs to stop if it don’t i will take further actions for this.

    I found Out I was charged for several text messages and axcess service. I have gone on My PC(not cell phn)and looked at free login and ringtones but ask for cell# to send to.apparently they share your # so You can be charged ,guess why the ringtone was free.i didnt see ANYTHING about charges. thats when I stsarted getting and seeing text and service charges. i never authorized anything,and i’m a stickler about reading the FINE print.

    Started a new plan and received new phones from Alltel. One of the lines started receiving junk emails. Called Alltel to complain and they said they “couldn’t see the bill” at this time. Received bill with two $5.99 charges from CSW jokes and horoscopes. No one authorized any such service. I believe there were some pop ups on the new phones they caused this. Alltel won’t remove charges. Sent complaint to the FCC and Better Business Bureau. I have called CSW a dozen times and found it impossible to get a live person on the line. I am not giving up.

    I started receiving Joke a day Text messages. I have an unlisted number, am on the DO NOT CALL register, and didn’t sign up for text messaging on my phone, so these jokes were a surprise. I didn’t realize the charge was $5.99 a week until my bill came. I called Alltel and they told me I had to contact the CSW company on my own to stop this junk. I did call, couldn’t get anyone at all, I doubt there is a human at the other end, I texted back ‘stop’ but it didn’t stop, I called Alltel again and they were so totally unhelpful that I will forget this company exists as soon as I can. They said if I didn’t pay all my phone bill my service would be turned off. I wrote to the Attorney General of my state and will contact the FCC. Is their no one to help us????

    I got billed for two different ones, ringaza alert and playphone text fun and have no clue what either one of them are…. so i asked the alltel rep how much alltel makes on this deal…of coarse she says oh we have nothing to do with that…i said well your taking my money on the deal so you gotta be making something on the deal….needless to say this caring broad didnt like it to well since she hung up on me…didnt catch her wierd sounding name…either way its a great way for alltel to make money seeings how you dont have to know jack didly about who’s phone number it is to put that deal on…thats just a bunch of bs!! good way for them to make money….wish some of us poor folk would have thought about this instead of a company that already makes millions!!

    we also tried to download a free ringtone which we did not get. when our January cell phone bill arrived we were charged 5.99 three times from 71769 Csw Jokes/Horoscopes which we did not order. We called Alltel and complained and after much debating they agreed to take the chages off the bill. To stop the charges we texted 71769stop

    I sent 2 different google text for addresses and got billed twice for CSW Jokes/Horoscopes and Alltel tells me call and cancel. I got a recording, left my number and have never heard from them. Now I owe 5.99 for each. I never did anything to subscribe to this. I google all the time but these 2 times the joke came in right behind the no. What is worse, I called Alltel and complained because I didn’t want charged for 2 text messages and they never said a thing about this bill charge to me.

    I was charged the 9.99, complained to Alltell who said it was a 3rd party charge and they could not remove or refund it, I filed a complaint with BBB and the address was no good in Denver, Co. so I need a good address to try and get a refund again, I this is crap, to be charged and unable to contact the company doing the charging, I received no service what so ever for that 9.99 and Alltel should not allow this to happen. Period.

    I find this website for free ringtones. Well I should have remembered, nothing is free. $30 later, stupid jokes that my four year old wouldn’t tell (to darn stupid) and NO RINGTONE, I HAVE learned my lesson. I am calling ALLTEL to complain but I am sure it will do no good. As I have told them before, they are one of the biggest scams since satellite TV. I followed the advice of Julie and texted 71769 STOP and within a minute I received a text saying my subscription (I didn’t know FREE meant I had a subscription) was cancelled. We will see if it appears again. I believe the FCC and BBB should be aware of ALLTEL and this SCAM that CSW Jokes is running.

    On November 4, 2007, my son, who is underage, saw an ad for a FREE download from Ringaza. He followed the instructions for this FREE download only to discover that it was not FREE and he had been the victim of false advertising. He has since contacted several friends who have had the same experience. He had no authorization to change anything on our cell phone plan. He immediately contacted a representative from the company and cancelled the download. He asked 3 times if this particular download was cancelled and asked whether or not it would show up on our bill. He was told 3 times that the unFREE download was indeed cancelled and would never show up on a bill.

    I received a bill from Alltell within a few weeks, and we were signed up for Ringaza’s FREE product at a cost of $9.99, and also, a charge of $19.98. I wrote to Alltell and complained, and REFUSED TO PAY THE $19.98. This month’s Alltell bill also had the $19.98, + a late fee, plus again, we were still “signed up” for a service that we had never used and had supposedly cancelled within 5 minutes of downloading it!!!!!!!

    After wasting my time and my gas to drive to a local Alltell office to deal with this issue, I was told that I had to pay Alltell and would need to receive a refund from Ringaza for this abuse. At this point, I am owed $29.97 from their company. It has been 6 weeks since I contacted Ms. Zelda Malan of Ringaza by e-mail (they refuse to give a mailing address). I have yet to receive a refund after being lied to, and generally screwed by this company.

    I have been charged $9.99 since November 2007 for 66047 Mm text alerts. I never authorized this and when I call alltel they say because it is a third party, they can do nothing. I was advised that if I send them a text back with STOP that it will go away. I have done this several times and each month its still on my bill. Each month I speak to alltel and I am told the same thing. Is there any way of stopping this?

    My son also fell victim to the 71769 free ring tones scam. Never got any ring tones, but did get a bunch of charges for jokes he had no interest in. I called Alltel and was told that because the company had the cell phone number, they could charge anything they wanted to the phone. I am stunned that the cell phone companies do not require any proof at all that you have agreed to this.

    I have been trying to get charges removed for my last three months worth of bills. Alltel keeps billing me for charges from “bid 4 prizes” and now a new charges is showing up for “Blinko Text Alerts”. They keep saying that we subscruibed to these services, which we did not! I am pretty fed up, and Alltel could refuse to bill for this company, but they don’t want to for some reason. I wonder what the cut they are getting amounts to. Sounds like I am not the only person having to pay for this scheme. I am contacting the better business bureau and whoever else I can to issue a fraud complaint.

Oddly enough, an alltel rep. told me in order to find out what this so called third party texting was, he told me to go to google search, well I’m no clearer, but I’m obviously not alone when it comes to unauthorized charges

    After receiving my alltel bill with 7 charges of 9.99, totaling $69.93, I contacted alltel, they couldn’t give me a date when any of these ringaza alerts were supposedly subscribed to. However the rep did tell me to go to google search and it would explain it all. Well, I’m not any wiser, but I’m certainly in good company with angry people who are expected to pay for unauthorized charges, that alltel is willing to call me up prerecorded and inform me that I’m late with my payment. Note I paid mt normal cell phone bill, eliminating the additional 69.93. But they say they aren’t the ones to complain to. What gives???

    It’s now many recorded messages later, BUT I got through to an alltel rep. who was able to credit my account $69.93. Her name was Sarah and she was quite efficient, and hopes someone will do something about these companies who hitchhike on our bills with no authorization. She says they don’t make a dime from it. I suggested they quit calling to collect monies for something they don’t profit from. Anyway, here’s to an alltel rep who knows her stuff!!!!

    My daughter checked out the free ringtones from Thumbplay and realized it would be a charge and “deactivated” her account immediately. WE were chagred 9.99 last month and again this month and her account is still deactivated. I unsubscribed on Thumbplay website but I am afraid we will get charged again. I am considering not paying ALltel but it sounds like that will be futile. I have heard the same story from alltel that they can do nothing but that is hard to beleive.

    Hey guys, I work for an indirect dealer for Alltel and more than once this issue has come to me with a customer. Alltel really actually can not do much about crediting it back because it did come from a 3rd party vendor. A buddy of mine just came into the store a few minutes ago about this issue, the only thing that I was able to do was get it to stop. Other than that, Alltel really is not even obligated to credit you back on this. The BBB and FCC really won’t do anything to Alltel about this.
    What you can do about this though, is go ahead and stop this CSW company, they are the real culprits. Somehow they are getting their subscriptions onto people’s phones, and probably not legally. CSW is the company that owes you money, not Alltel.

    You have heard of the investment scams where rounding the penny down has made certain criminals millions of dollars? My alltel bill has been nickel and diming me for a year and a half to the tune of $5-30 per month. Just imagine the amount of money these fat cats are making on their 2-year obligatory contacts. I recommend as many people as possible call their state’s attorney general and the public service commisssion and tell their friends to do the same. Are you aware that even if we come together to file a class action suit we will maybe receive a check for $10 for all the work and frustration. This does not begin to cover the fradulent charges that I have been assessed. I average 1-3 hours a month straightening out my bill with one of their “reps” and when the change hasn’t been made months later, the one little charge requires 3 phone calls to customer service to resolve. Half the time they don’t bother to note it in the computer and you have to explain it over and over…I survive on a limited income and I would really like to bill them for my time.

    Just like every one else. We are recieving charges for service we did not order. I have sent this email. We have not recieved a response or a credit for the charges. (email we sent to Ringtone Times: PLEASE STOP charging my cell phone bill for charges we did not order. This company, now owe’s us $36.00. Please credit this amount to my Alltel bill. I have contacted my cell phone provider twice and I have replied to the text msg to STOP. I think that is really cool that the listed phone # for your company (1-877-225-1198) does not work. That is very professional!!!!!

    I have been billed for months at $9.99 plus tax for 66047 Mm Text Alerts which I never subscribed to. This charge is on my son’s phone, who is a minor. I also talked with Alltel only to be told that they could not stop it or credit me the costs. How can Alltel be required to collect charges for a third party and not get anything out of it. I find that really hard to believe. I can assure you that as soon as possible I will go with another cell phone provider. If all subscribers do the same, Alltel may sit up and take notice.

    This is to Kyle: Regardless that a third party is involved, Alltel is paying the bill with our assumed consent and refuse to block this service. So, they are ultimately responsible Creditcard companies accept responsibility for fradulent charges on your bill with one phone call and go to battle for you, no matter the amount. Bottomline, Alltel simply does not care about its customers. File your complaints with their corporate website. At least someone has “responded” to me there. Until then, everyone should just sumit their payments with this amount deducted. If all their customers do this maybe someone will finally take notice. Tell your friends and have them pass it on. Use your email contacts. Thankyou.

    I have tried for several months to get these charges off my Alltel with no help or success. I think Alltel should block these type of charges when the customer requests it or at least provide information on how to contact that company. This is very frustrating as well as costly. I will be leaving Alltel when my contract is up due to this unsettled billing disagreement.

    I have been billed $89 for acxess web charges. From what I can tell from my bill, they are all ring tone charges. The first charges appeared in Feb 08. Alltel credited me back the charges. I put a block on my phone for rigntones, but they still kept coming. Alltel says that the block stops some ringtones, but not purchases made from Axcess web, or the internet. i took my Motorola V3 to the alltel store and no ringtones were on my phone, and from what the tech person said was that there have never been ringtones on my phone, but he said the purchases were valid based on that the Mobile Id number were used to buy the ringtones. This made no sense since there were no ringtones on my phone. I have talked to fraud dept, customer service, and went to the alltel store to fight this, but they will not budge. Since I am a law school student, I think it would be fun to see if I can fight this legally, but so far I have not found any direction to go from. Basically so far I have drafted a letter of dispute to send to Alltel. I recorded a phone call with customer service rep and manager, I got there employee IDs also, discussing the situation. I have made a complaint with the fcc adn bbb. It seems that alltel does not care because they are such a large buisness, but I have time to spend to find out if there is a way to make them change the way they charge people for fradulant charges. I hope to post some better news when I found out how to pursue the matter legally.

    I to have the chg. $9.99 this month on my granddaughter phone,she did not make the call,but is not sure if maybe a ‘friend’ might have. 66047 Mm text alerts has to be a scam,i can find no info for them on google. alletl says text them with “stop”..I hope this works,but after reading these messages I am not sure if I want to open the door for more trash from them or anyone else either..I will talk to alltel billing. I have been with Allel since ’94. I will re-post if I have any success.

    I too am having a problem w/ 66047 and in researching, it seems I am going to be out alot more than the two months they have charged at 9.99 each, w/out us requesting it.     Up-date for the 66047 scam. the Company is called MQUBE.The phone # is 1-8000-235-7105 This is a recording and sounds like to me to be a clearing house,but the recording does clearly state the charges will be stopped and will not re-appear unless you are crazy enough to “sign up again with one of their many scams again”. I was hesitent to put the cell phone number into their system,cause i am not sure how they recieved it the first time,but I did. If wierd things happen i will drop the number. I thanked the Alltel rep for her help,she was great,she willingly admited the 3rd party billing scenario is getting out of hand,she stated they are getting more calls about these scams recently.
    I hate more laws,but this 3rd party crap needs some attention from the top.

    I had 2 months of charges on my Alltel bill fromm this company. I was fortunate enough to get a refund from the company, explaining that the subscriber was a minor. Service was cancelled in April. This month I received another $5.99 for the same service that had been cancelled. I called CSW, they said that they didnt submit the charge. Alltel said they did. Now I’m stuck with paying the $5.99 charge. This is like a snowball rolling downhill. What can be done to stop this??????????????

    plus, you should know that phones can have viruses. if you have your bluetooth is always on or active searching, a virus can move from phone to phone. these virus may transmit your personal data for cloning.

    I have received bills for this “access playphone ringtone service” that I never subscribed to. Alltel is no help. They say that they don’t sell my cell phone number to any 3rd party vendors and I will have to contact playphone. I called playphone today and they said that it would be unlikely for me to get a refund because I subscribed with a 4 digit pin. I have no memory of ever subscribing to any ringtone service.     I am the Admin for about 50 Alltel phones. Premium Axcess charges regurally show up on certain numbers that are never ordered. I’m told that Alltel can do nothing about this even though I have told them that no Premium Axcess charges are authorized. With all of the phones, I usually have $5 to $50 per month extra to pay. This should be illegal, but I’m informed that it is not.

    My Alltel bill was charged $9.99 for something called “Yurcrush”. I called Alltel and told them that I had NEVER ordered or authorized this and that I wanted the charge removed. They told me that I must have ordered it, by some type of text message I received and that I had entered in a “pin” number to get the service. I adamently stated that I had NEVER done this and that I don’t even use text-messaging. I was told that there was “nothing that they could do” and was then given a toll-free number to call. I have been an Alltel customer for 15 years and was extremely upset that they would not help me. When I called this number it was for a company called “Atrinsic”, I believe. I explained the whole situation again and was basically told again that I had ordered this service which I had NOT ordered. Eventually, I convinced the person to cancel the service and that I wanted my money refunded to me. He also put a block on all of my numbers so that this company will not scam me again! We will see what happens!

    I went to AZ lyrics and got offered a complimentry ring tone. I clicked on it and it transferred me to a site that told me to follow 3 simple steps. I did this. No where did it mention that I would be charged. Until I did the 2nd step. It sent me a msg saying that I had subscribed to a service and that I would be charged $10 a week. Guess which company? Dada.net, I have contacted Azlyrics and asked them to account for any cost that I might incur as a result of this con that they are promoting on their site.

    Current Alltel bill showed two charges of $9.98 under a minor’s phone number. Alltel said it was a third party and they would not be able to reimburse and gave me a phone number that is useless. The phone number states to contact them by email. I have asked for reimbursement and even stated I would file a Police report.     This is an update from my July 24th posting. I did get my $9.99 refunded to me! The message I had on my bill was 44577 Yurcrush Alerts. Alltel told me to call 1-800-387-0290 (Company is called Atrinsic). As I mentioned before, I demanded a refund and a block put on all future charges. I did receive my refund last week and I just got my most recent bill from Alltel. There were no additional charges for the above service. It still is very scary to think that these charges can just appear on your statement without your permission. I also think that Alltel should do a better job of helping their customers take care of these bogus charges especially when they are putting them out on THEIR bill to us and evidentally collecting money for these scammers. Anyway, it appears that my problem has been resolved. I definetly will be keeping a close watch on my bills from now on. Good luck to all of you!

    We just got our Alltel bill today and it was extremely higher then usual. Upon further looking, we had a $9.99 charge from Joke Alert and another $9.99 charge from Game Tips. I was told they are a 3rd party subscriber for text messages. HOld on, I do not have text messaging on my cell phone. The Alltel rep told me that we possibly went to a website for the Game Tips and punched in our cell number and that is why we are seeing this charge. News to me.
    Good news is the Alltel rep told me they will be emailing the company on my behalf to have it removed from our cell phone and she refunded me our money.
    That was the second time I had to call, the Joke Alert was on our bill before, then it disappeared for two months and now it all came back.
    I hope this insanity stops very soon. I was also informed that they keep getting calls about those charges, she made it feel like it was something fishy going on, not with the customers, but with this 3rd party charges. Well, I hope they do something about it or they are losing a customer!

So I called my Alltel company and explained the situation to them, and they searched out my account history and found out that I was charged $9.99 for the text message that your company sent to my phone, when I have never subscribed to your third-party service.     I am writing on behalf of my parents who are NOT AllTell subscribers but who continue to receive annoying automated calls from ALLTELL to the land line they have had for 42 years. These daily calls are looking for folks who are delinquent in paying their bills. Interestingly, the calls they receive are for several different AllTell customers … not the same person. I have contacted AllTell customer service on behalf of my aging parents to try to resolve this matter. I made the seventh call today and must say that AllTell has now reached an impressive level of incompetence. Not only have they been unable to stop these calls, every customer service representative reads from the same script and gives me the “your paremts will not receive another call” line. And then, the calls continue. I am not an AllTell customer and will never be an AllTell customer. I am so frustrated in trying to get this resolved that if AllTell were the only cell phone provider on the planet I would opt for using pigeons. Can anybody at AllTell resolve this matter? Is it that hard? Have seven or more different people really falsely submitted my parent’s land line when they signed up for their service? I can assure AllTell that my parents are not harboring the fugitives they are looking for. My goodness, they would not be able to feed them all. So, come on AllTell. Get it All Together and resolve this problem.

    I just recieved this months bill and i am getting charges somehow hit for 3 charges at 4.99 for a divas community, one for 4.99 for a sports community, one for airg voice messaging and one for a game. I ordered/used/purchase none of these things I just today sent and e-mail to alltel to see what they will do about it. I can tell you this if they will not help i will cancel my service with them. I cancelled one line last month and it is odd that this month i am now starting to get these charges. I will update if I get anything back from them.

    When i moved here from a 2 year tour in Europe; i went to the alltel store in Roanoke Rapids, NC and my father bought me a blackberry as a present for being promoted. After I moved to my base in Georgia, I changed the number to a local number. When I changed the number they never canceled the old number in North Carolina. Now I am getting bills for more than $400. When I was in the hospital recovering from surgery, i called them and confronted them about the bills. They subtracted the access amount and then they turned my name into Alliance 1 credit collection agency. The only thing i can really do is break the contract and go elsewhere. Now I am seriously considering seeking legal advice. So should the rest of you. I work hard for my money. I go through pure hell evryday for it!!! I will not be cheated!!!

    My hell started when at Christmas added my husband and childern to my cell phone plan. On December the 16 i purchased three more cell phones, i wanted unlimited texting on two lines. Which was supposed to start on December 27 at the begin of the next pay cycle. Between December 16 & 24 i called alltel twice to verify the services i had. My next bill came due i changed the account since i had added my family but alltel charged it to my old account, which costed me $32 from my bank and $25 from alltel. Alltel wants me to pay for their mistake. I was contacted by alltel that my servicces had not been paid, thats when i found out about that problem. So once again i paid the bill with the new account number. They didnt run that account number right so i had to end up paying it again for the third time before alltel could get it right. During this time i was contacted from alltel that i had a excessive high cell phone bill. I called again they had not added my unlimited texting to my two lines by now its the middle of January. They were supossed to go back and give my credit on my bill for the unlimited texting. I had to make 8 more calls to try and get this straight. Every representive that i have spoken with tries to help then they put me off to another representive. I spend an hour at a time on the phone every time i call. As of February 24 was my last call im now waiting for a bill to come in the mail stating what i am being charged for. I have requested for this bill 4 different times and i havent recieved the first one yet. I was told on the 24 that they were going to send out a bill. Today is February the 26 im still waiting. Also on the 24 at 11:52 A.M. a representive that i had been on the phone with for an hour told me that a supervisor would call me when he got off another call. I told i wouldnt hold my breath, im glad i didnt its 2 days later and i still havent heard from him. I made a complaint on the 24 on the 25 while i was working i received a message from alltel that they had got my complaint that he was willing to help me but when i returned the call it said this alltel number is not in service. He never called me back. They are telling me that my bill is $323. My package plan should be $244. Nobody can tell me where this extra $80 is coming from. If they have gave me credit back to December 27 on my unlimited texting, who is going to pocket this $80 if i pay the bill. The alltel representives have my account in front of them, why cant they read it and tell me where this money is and what its for? Ive been waiting 2 weeks to pay my February bill. But cant pay it because i dont know what im paying for. Is there anyone from alltel that can help me with this matter? Does the representives know how to add and subtract?

    I have been getting charged for the past few months..maybe more since I just realized this. I keep getting charges for airG voice and airG Sports community, GamespaceAD, airG Divas…what is all this?! I’ve never signed up for anything nor have I gotten any text messages saying that I have. One subscription even happend while I was in my night class! so I definately know that I haven’t been the one subcribing to these things. I have 2 subcriptions of each, each ranging from 1.99 to 3.99$; and this is just the past 2 months since I’ve realized..I have a prepaid plan, so I don’t get a bill and I don’t check my account all day. But I did check it today and then I made a call and my balance was different so I decided to check out what was going on. Their offices had already closed by the time I looked at my account but I will definately be calling tomorrow and I better get a refund. This is absurd.

    I wpold suggest contacting the state A.G offices where you live. This will help in getting these scam companies shut down. Venting here is one thing, venting to A.G. offices a work in progress that will help everyone.

    Incident = On January 19, 2009, I purchased an Alltel phone and decided to activate it over the computer with my credit card number. That was a bad idea because the money ($21.42),had been deducted from my bank and never placed into my Alltel account, nor had I received any minutes. They evidently gave me a different phone number on the computer. Later I activated with the 800 number above.
    I am complaining not only about having my money returned, but trying to inform you that the number above has been found to be useless to me. The representitives always put me on hold for say, 2 minutes and then hang up on me. They never call me back and my problem is not resolved. Their english is difficult to understand. They have been difficult with this (text game) they are playing, and will not call my phone numbers to give me an answer regarding this issue. They say it is under investigation and then I never hear from them.
    All I want is my money returned into my account or they can send me a check. There is no exuse for such long wait. Will someone address this as soon as possible???
    Damage Resulting = Due to the rotten situation above, I will not trust adding to my account through the computer or by telephone. Instead, I need to go to an Alltel store every time I want to top up.
    If the money will not be returned, I will need to go with a different company for my service. This has been very frustrating over so little money, however, I demand it be returned.

    I have been with Alltel since March 2007. I have had ringtone charges on my account in the past but customer service quickly took them off when they had no proof I made the charges. But recently since Verizon bought out Alltel, I have had alot of problems. I have 2 lines with LG Scoops that Alltel admits are defective. They shut off when going on celltop or mobile web and once in a while when talking on them. I have called Alltel numerous times and have had a total of 6 replacement handsets. Now they tell me theres nothing more they can do. So now I am stuck with $135 a month cell phone bill with 2 phones that shut off whenever they want. I am filing an FCC complaint. Alltel is a joke.

    paying $60 for alltel internet and not getting the service. We already had one type with them and they talked us into the card service that would give us even better service. The service kept decreasing lower and lower until the speed is lower than what we originally had. We have done speed checks complained.. and the only way to get out of this $60 fees is to pay a penalty. But I feel it is bait and switch. We really didn’t want to change but they worked us over telling us it was going to be so much faster. Then when your not happy you cannot get out of the contract without pay $200-$300. Need to know if there’s any class action lawsuits going this way. I do love alltel but after many long months going no where with them. They gave us a new card last night and it didn’t even work then this morning no internet service. Run a business and believe in your word.. but have no protection for us.     I have been getting charges the past 3 months for air G voice services, divas community, and other stuff I would NEVER in my right mind order. The first time I called it was over $20 worth of charges and the first rep on the phone told me “it must be on celltop” keep in mind I didn’t even know what celltop was up until this point. I was told to take it to a corporate store so they can verify it’s not on my phone, so I did a 35 mile one way trip to the nearest store. Well lo and behold, it’s not an application it’s something the rep on the phone is insisting to the store employee that I had to have clicked on. Well I can’t discontinue a subscription to something that I NEVER clicked on. I had to have a raging screaming fit on the phone to get the charges taken off. Well they told me it was a one time only courtesy and they wouldn’t do it again. Well guess what, I have more charges, and no dice on cancellations and refunds. This is insane. All I ever use is the mobile web to read the news that is on my home page. Not a happy customer at all!

    My phones have had the same aird message service charges (2 per month) and diovas community and sports community charges since February. Alltel credited my acocunt once and then gave me a number to text “stop” to. I did that and NOTHING happened. Sure enough the charges are back on my phone. The alltel rep claims it is something I signed up for but I absolutely did not. I am calling again today since I just got my bill and yet again there are these mystery charges on it. It is SUCH A SCAM!!! i filed a FCC complaint but am going to file a complaint with the AG also. There is no way I am going to continue being charged almost $30 per month for bogus “services” that I never ordered! Alltel should be taking these charges off the bill until the company can PROVE that I signed up for something.

    We have been getting these AirG charges also, since December! We recieved an email from AirG January 10th, 2009 that says the “subscribtion” has been cancelled. (I never authorized these things on my phone, they were the same, Divas, Sports Community, and some messaging service.)When I ask, “where is my refund?” I get no response. Since we assumed it had been cancelled, we didn’t check the January list, and by the time we realized it was still being charged it was too late to look at January but It has been billed in February, March and April. Alltel rep gave me a number to text STOP too, and SURPRISE I got a msg back instantly, it read “you had no subscriptions with us to cancel.” Really? Then why am i beeing charged?!?! And again, Alltel says this is a 3rd party and they can’t do anything about it, and they only gave me a $5.00 credit, not even close to what I have been charged. If you go to the website you click on one of two links, and one of them takes you to a page to enter your phone number and click yes I agree to the terms and conditions… blah blah blah so yeah, anyone can sign anyone else up for this just by spending ten seconds on this website entering the phone number… and then 6 months later here we are trying to get this B.S. cancelled and refunded… NICE.

    I have been trying for months to have over $300 worth of charges removed from my bill. I returned equipment I never used because it didn’t work in my area. They are saying I didn’t return it but I did exactly as I was told, sending it to the address provided. I did pay my bill for the actual phone usage, but refuse to send the fees for equipment returned (3 months ago) They have no shut off my phone and call daily telling me to call to pay the bill. I have now turned it over to Better Business Bureau to resolve the issue but don’t expect that to work. I will then call an attorney to fix it as it is affecting my health. I have heard others complain about the same problem. Alltel is the worst Cellphone provider on the planet. Stay away from them if you can!!!

    Alltel has been charging for Jumbucks Power Chat and an Alltel premium charge that they cannot tell me what it is since we started the plan 13 months ago. Every month I go into the main store and complain and they’ve credited it most of the time saying it won’t happen again. Next month has the same charges plus others that are alltel’s premium charges. They tell me each time it is fixed and twice a rep has stated that I have to call the 3rd party vendor to get it stopped. Jumbucks is out of Australia with no phone number. They do have email addresses for the US, Europe and Australia and an Austraulian fax number. I believe it’s time for alltel to take me to court after I file a civil complaint against them for breach of contract.

    I keep having recurring charges from airg Voice Messaging and Divas Community, neither of which I have ever accessed. The first time it totaled over 36 dollars and I had to drive 40 miles to an Alltel corp. store to have them make sure the app (which these things are not) was not downloaded to my phone. The Rep at the store called Customer Service who is who told me to take it to a corp. store, they went as far as to insinuate the store rep was lying for me!!! It was ridiculous. They would only authorize a 3.99 refund. For something that was supposedly a monthly access charge, they charged me 3 times for each! I called back when I left the store and went hysterical on the next guy who answered the phone. They said this would be a one time thing and they would NOT refund my money again. Well of course it’s been on the next 2 bills totaling 23.94 more in charges. I sat down ready to do battle with the rep, but when I told her what happened last time and that I did research into a class action complaint, they couldn’t give me a refund fast enough.

Cust svc told me to get all my copies out and compare each month, to find out why charges were added to a phone that was put out of use, but paying for to the end of the CONTRACT, $9.99/MONTH ended up to $24 in “extra charges.     I have been billed twice in the last month for airg services I did not receive. I used the airg number(1-877-635-5552) to block future charges and asked to talk to a supervisor to remove current charges. I was told repeatedly that charges could not be removed and when I pressed to talk with someone else the supervisor indicated that charges could not be refunded. Class action suit and customer is always right not to mention services where not received did not work. I will be speaking with an Alltel representative tomorrow to see if a refund can be provided. The representatives were repectful but it appears that there is no company policy to help people that have been scammed and they beneift. Please let me know if there is a corporate phone number that is available for airg.

Alltel took it off and the next month, there it was again.     Same deal here… I’ve been charged for the Diva’s Community thing since March, been on the phone with Alltel customer service countless times, had the charges refunded, was told repeatedly that it was cancelled and I would no longer be charged for it, just to open the next months bill and see the charge still there. I am getting extremely fed up with all this bull. I NEVER signed up for this, and paying $3.99 a month for basically NOTHING (unless you count my headache), and wasting countless hours of time trying to get this taken care of by calling into customer service each month (and half the time I can’t even understand them due to their heavy accents!!).     Just spent 30 minutes “arguing” with Alltel (soon to be Verizon) regarding erroneous data charges adding up to over $80! Several charges were on the bill for every day. In order to clear it up, they stated they would need to discontinue all data / internet usage for the account. Why should we have to make concessions for their error? After further “discussion”, they finally agreed to send the “work order” to their collection department for approval of removal of the charges. After getting off the phone with them, I checked the account online, and noticed that the upcoming bill already has another 6000 kb of data charges once again! The only time data was accessed this period would be to obtain one ring tone – only a couple of minutes of browsing / download time! This is ridiculous! Something needs to be done! Would look for a new provider, but would have to “buy out” the contract, and have recently resigned on for another two year contract period.

I have been given to technical service, taken my phone in twice to verify these items are not on my phone (which I told them).     I have had these same issues with AirG Voice Messaging and Divas Community since I got my most recent phone in January 2009. Some months I would call Alltel (now Verizon) and get reimbursed, some months i gave up and didn’t dispute it. This morning I did some research and found that there was apparently a Sweepstakes running at that time. http://www.airg.com/alltelnpn/rules. The way to enter was to subscribe to four Alltel services. Now I know that I never did subscribe to them. However the charges still showed up on my bill. I did get two of them removed in the beginning but have been dealing with Divas & AirG Voice since then. Alltel can’t help me because the third party doesn’t leave any contact info on the bill to be able to stop the service. After 6 months of arguing with customer service I was put in contact with Alltel tech support who had the ability to trace back where the charges originated and stop them. The gentleman in tech support actually saw that at no time had I downloaded or subscribed to any service other than basic phone service.It was a very frustrating 6 months, but in the end all charges were credited.

    I am in an area where alltel purchased from Cellular One. I had been a cell one customer for 10 plus years. I got a blackberry flip (nightmare) from them in February. Now, the trackball gave out. For like a month I have been asking them to at least grant me some internet service on my second phone. They just simply don’t care that I’ve been without service….just keep paying for the old phone…no resolution. One lady I called asked me if I took the phne apart b/c that would void the warranty. I haven’t done that, and wouldn’t be comfortable doing it. So NEXT…she asks me to take it apart…..hello?

Each month they credit my account and say they blocked it but somehow… the best part is that I have an “AIR CARD FOR THE INTERNET,” NOT A CELL PHONE!!! My “air card” is an old one and I can’t even use text feature on it, soooo… If it shows up on my bill next month they WILL loose me as a customer… I will find another way to use the internet… this is ridiculous!!!!

    tell the alltel company and other companies that if don’t credit u will also write a review of how they weren’t responsive and willing to do anytihng on http://www.ripoffreport.com and once it’s posted there it can never be removed even if corrected or tell them if no refund u will go up and down in front of alltel stores on public streets lettting people know how rude they are u will get refund quick i know of a person who has done this with other companies and they didn’t want bad publicity so they fixed the problem asap

    Well, sorry to say I just canceled my air card by opting for an early termination on my contract with Verizon because of the same (see above posts) problems… I have to pay a penalty of 200.00 because I still have one year left. I will save over 500.00 dollars doing this. I am using a different service now with no hassles. Every month since I am charged and have to have it recredited than it is charged and so on and so on. It is Jan and still going through this bs. They said we ordered it online and we never ordered anything. So this time the teck gave me AIRG voice messaging direct ph# to get it off for good for it is a third party from ALLTEL.1-604-408-2220. I am hoping it is off for good now if not I am thinking of shutting it off for it is not worth the hassle.

    PS also when they credit the 3.99 on the front page of your bill than on the back part where they show the credit applied back and it doesn’t even add up to 3.99, it is less.

    i keep being billed for quizs and other 9.99charges I don’t even know what the are. I have had a couple of the deleted. P.s> you have to pay them first then it is taken off you next bill. I keep getting them, and getting them , and getting them Why can’t they (Alltel) or any phone design a block to thise who want them. Come on geniouses you CAN do it

    I keep getting a $3.99 charge via alltel for a service I have no idea about. They did agree to block the site but will not refund. 14 months plus and no justice. I think this is an alltel scam.

    Last month I was billed 9.99 for airg messaging that I never signed up for. I called my cell phone provider they told me to contact airg which I didthey stopped but then this month charged me 3.99 for airg sports which i never signed up for. How can I stop this. They gave me a number to call which is in Canada I was holding for 6 mins. then was cut off. This call will cost me $$. How or what can I do to get alltel to stop billing me for something I never signed up for?. Thanks Stephanie

    Receiving frequent dunning phone calls demanding payment for cell service. We don’t have Altel and never had. Solution was for me to call our service provider and have their number blocked. Bad outfit taking this matter up with senior management.

    was turned into collection by alltell. They say i owe them $1,097 on a plan that was month to month?? For one, they wouldnt let you get 1 day past due before they disconnected service. for two, early termination fee is only $200. For 3, we bought the phones we had. we always had to call and cancel $9.99 a month subscriptions that we never subscribed to. I’ve tried disputing this but they dont listen. I just found out that they have had previous class action lawsuits filed on them for the same deal.
