my father, ricky started receiving text messages and due to him being older and disable; he would receive them. they sent them everyday for a week untill we noticed it was a scam after he got his bill. the alltel rep would not help by removing the charges; instead she aggreed to call the CSW co. and have them stopped(she refused to give me the # to call myself)needless to say he still gets them EVERYDAY but knows not to accept. this needs to be STOPPED!!!!u would think this type of thing is illegal.

I am Chinese-American. I do not speak great english but try. I called Sprint 30 days before contract was over as I was switching companies. They either did not understand me, or took advantage of me. I told them I wanted to let them know I will be not coming back and in 30 days my contract was over so instead of continuing the contract, I was being dilligent and notifying them as I wanted to keep the same phone numbers. They cancelled me right there, but I did not know it, until I got my bill in the mail for $800 for early termination fees, for 8 lines at $100.00 each. Any law to back me up? PS: My American friend is writing this for me so there is no confusion.
I am 3 way calling with her so they cannot pull it over me again. PLS Help me asap. In 7 days it goes to collections.

  10. Srila Maiti says:

I called Sunny Singh, a tmobile agent to get a connection on 19th June, 2008. He told me that it is a 6 months contract with 600 minutes as any time minutes. It is an individual postpaid plan and the activation fee and the cell phone fee will be waived off upon receipt of my first bill. And addition of 6.99 dollar will make tmobile calles free. He asked me my first, last name, dob, visa type, card no and cvc no and asked me to send scanned visa copy. Friday he gave me some invalid tracking number. They have deducted USD 56.25 from my bank a/c and have not sent any thing. On monday when I asked them about the status, they were very rude while talking and they told me that they will call me back shortly.I have neither received any call back from them nor any replay to my email.
I became fedup and called them again in the morning when I came to know that on thursady night, suddenly tmobile changed the policy and hence they stopped shipping though they deducted the money and have not informed me anything about it. I called tmobile agent Megan with ID 1048942 at the number 18777278778 addressing this issue and she gave me a complian no 0721583. She tried as well to call Sunny and he was not speaking properly to us and moreover asked not to call him back again. When I wanted my money back, he told it will be done in 48 hours. But I am apprehending that the same thing will again happen where they will only say that they will refund the money, but they will not do that actually. Please help me to get my money back.I am terribly upset regarding this.

    unwanted calls

  13. John Escudero says:

We have been sprint customers for over 10 years with minimal problems over the years. I even did an article with the NY Times about Sprint’s hidden fees. We recently purchased a new phone for one of my 3 daughters and when they set it up, everything went wrong. I started getting bills in excess of $500.00 to $900.00. They still have not fixed it. Now, 2 of my daughters wanted out of the service, they could not stand the service any longer. Now sprint is charging me $200.00 per phone, I know there is a class action suit and a Judge has declared this illegal. What is my recourse on having them reverse the fees? I tried once and they still won’t do it saying that because we signed the contract prior to the law we are still responsible to pay it? I am almost willing to shut all 5 of my phones off if I have to to get them to change their fees? Can you help?

  14. Jan says:

I saw this as an ad on Facebook – “Secret Admirer”. Verizon removed this for me. It is a scam ad that appears on Facebook and probably many other sites as well.

  18. O.C. Garcia says:

I am writing on behalf of my parents who are NOT AllTell subscribers but who continue to receive annoying automated calls from ALLTELL to the land line they have had for 42 years. These daily calls are looking for folks who are delinquent in paying their bills. Interestingly, the calls they receive are for several different AllTell customers … not the same person. I have contacted AllTell customer service on behalf of my aging parents to try to resolve this matter. I made the seventh call today and must say that AllTell has now reached an impressive level of incompetence. Not only have they been unable to stop these calls, every customer service representative reads from the same script and gives me the “your paremts will not receive another call” line. And then, the calls continue. I am not an AllTell customer and will never be an AllTell customer. I am so frustrated in trying to get this resolved that if AllTell were the only cell phone provider on the planet I would opt for using pigeons. Can anybody at AllTell resolve this matter? Is it that hard? Have seven or more different people really falsely submitted my parent’s land line when they signed up for their service? I can assure AllTell that my parents are not harboring the fugitives they are looking for. My goodness, they would not be able to feed them all. So, come on AllTell. Get it All Together and resolve this problem.

  20. allison says:

i texted 75714 and never even got one ring tone and apparently have been getting charged $20 a month for absolutely nothing!

  21. Nicole says:

Daughter took a “survey” online and voila…multiple text messages and a $10 fee. Luckily she knew the STOP code..but verizon would not remove charges. What is this company? She never authorized or purchased any ringtones…this was setup as a survey after “click her to help send 7,000 grains of rice to the hungry” Shame on this company for suckering teen (facebook) that actually care about others.

  22. Chris Maley says:

I had someone from AZA text me and when I responded to stop texting me, I got charged $12.00 for it! I never requested a thing from them. Don’t even know how they got my cell phone #.

  23. David says:

Company: Ringaza or 75714. Company phone# 1-866-616-6076 I feel like I need to report them to the BBB and also report them to the Internet Fraud Task Team. This company lures unsuspecting people into signing up for premium text messages by using lies in advertisements on facebook. I was charged $9.99 (so far). As soon as I realized what I had done, I quit the subscription, however I am still receiving messages. I called my phone company and put on a “premium” text message block (everyone should do this). This company needs to be closed down and charges should be brought against them in a court of law.

  24. Jim says:

same problem as most everyone else. was tricked into this by a free ringtone offer. I followed all their instructions to stop but to no avail. I am no longer sending any STOP texts as this I believe just tells them the number is still valid and then conyinue billing. These maggots will never get rid of me until I get every dime back!

  25. Abbie says:

I also took the 7 grains of rice survey linked to the games on greenopolis.com. I started receiving text messages in the middle of the night. I’m not sure if I’ve been charged yet, but called the 1.866.616.6076 and it said I had subscribed to a hip hop update. I never signed up for this. It was also Ringaza text 75714.

  26. Barbara Edwards says:

I am with T-Mobile and when I received my bill I have extra chrage from Ringaza Wallpaper. I had never signed up for.

  27. Samantha Colwell says:

I am with verizon and I was charged $9.99 and was not authorized. I did not sigh up for anything and was charged for service that i didn’t receive. I would like for this to stop and get my money back.

  28. Than Durgin says:

This is crazy – I really feel I didn’t sign up for anything, does anyone have a solution?

  29. Garrett says:

We didn’t authorize 4 charges in feb09 for a total of $39.96. After tracking down the two companies (ringaza and m-qube) I was able to contact them for a refund.

    Steps to ensure a refund:
    1. Explain that you flat out “didn’t authorize the charges”.
    2. They’ll explain their “double opt-in” policy and say that it ensures that the phone must be in hand before a charge is authorized. Let them talk, it makes them feel better, like they are bottom feeders. Then explain you understand that process but you are still confident that you didn’t sign up for their service.
    3. They’ll say “it’s not possible” even though it is.
    4. Deny again authorizing the service and ask for a refund, they’ll say “no”
    5. Ask for a supervisor
    6. They’ll say one isn’t available but will offer you a partial refund
    7. Say you’ll hold for a supervisor.
    8. They’ll say that one isn’t available but they are going to go ahead and offer you a full refund.
    9. Thank them, hang up and report them here https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

don’t just take your refund and think you won. They need to pay for these practices. The more people that report them to the FTC the more chance something will get done. It takes time but it’s worth it.

also, be sure to contact your carrier and put a “premium text message” block on your account to prevent it from happening again.

  30. Erick says:

75714 keeps texting me useless music information that i no longer want nor need. its charging up to $30 extra on my bill. please remove me from the calling list

  31. Gloria Orlosky says:

my verizon bill has charges for premium TXT messages that I did not subscribe for a cost of $19.98. contacted Verizon – they would not reverse the charges but did off to Block Preium text messages for 4 cell phones I own. This is such a scam to be billed for services and have no recourse. Not a happy Verison Customer – will be scrutinizing next month’s bill very closely.

  32. Kk says:

I am in the same situation as all of you! And when they sent me a message saying if you like to stop text “stop” and i texted “what?” they wrote back “were sorry we did not understand you, for further help call this number 18666166076″ and I don’t know if it’s a further scam but if we all call and tell them that they are headless sons of bitches who are going to hell maybe we can get something out.
    (good luck)

  33. Pete Patellis says:

WOW! I was having trouble with my Verizon wireless Aircard when the Tech looked at my bill and found that my Primary line had been receiving a $9.99 Premium Text service fee from RingAZA? I have never allowed the service but because it is a 3rd party, Verizon can only block the billing and not refund the amounts. They gave me the number to Text stop so they could no longer bill. thanks to the tech that took the time to look at the bill. It will save me a little bit of money during a tough financial year.

  34. Valley girl says:

Me too I just got riped off….My phone comp. tells me it is because i gave my phone number on a IQ TEST get your result by phone and if you don’t make sure to uncheck that F…!! service of quotes, jokes or alert S…!! I’M GONNA CHANGE MY SEVEN YEAR CELL NUMBERE FOR SOME FFFFFF INTERNET SCAM ??? No problem to force us on some cell contract but no damn service to protect us from that kind of fraud where is the logic in that????? ME too I’M having finance limits with two kids the phone is only for emergencies and now no money and ne more time and stuck with the bill…I’ll tell you I will be telling on line and everywhere I can about this scam and that is the only power we have…DESCRIMINATE DISCRIMINATE AND SREAM FRAUD ON EVERY SITE POSSIBLE…

  35. Pete says:

Ok. Here is the only way you can put a complete stop to this third party text Billing..
Submit a complaint form THRU THE FCC!!!

    The link is below:
    http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?sid=d1e408&id=d1e470

  36. chris says:

I did a IQ test online and had to enter my cell number to get the results. Next thing you know I am getting charged $9.99 plus .25 for every text. I canceled right away, but Verizon wouldnt refund the money to me and just blocked future text’s to my phone. I justed called the company and spoke with Sue W. and she said they dont offer refunds. Everyone should be wary of this scam and someone should put a stop to it. It was at Ringaza I believe and the link is PREM_SMS 75714 MEDIA BREAKAWAY. This is such a scam and should be stopped dead.

  37. Tim says:

My kids have been hit with this, and because they did not text STOP, they kept receiving text messages and of course we were billed.

I’m contacting the State Attorney General to stop this illegal practice.

  38. Casey says:

Call 18004166129 for a full refund!!!!! I think the company has finally realized they are in big trouble if they don’t give people thier money back! It was quick and easy…

  39. Dianna says:

I was receiving messages and called 18004166129, I got a really nice rep and he removed my number and explained everything to me.

  40. THANDI says:

i have a problem which i think you can help me with. my problem is that i’ved sucribe by mistake so i’ll appriciate if u can remove my subcription from your system and stop sending me sms’s and also stop charging me when i load airtime cause i haven’t buy anything from you. i wil highly appreciate it if you coul stop the subcreption for me please.

  41. Lorrie says:

I have AT&T wireless. I noticed a charge for a subscription service because they updated their online bill pay and actually had a section for subscriptions. I never subscribed to anything so I called AT&T to get it canceled. Without my asking for a refund I was given one and AT&T canceled the subscription, all during a 5 minute phone call. They were great! Service has improved leaps and bounds.

  42. Jeff says:

Predicto and RingAZA both showed up on my verizon bill as Premium Text! Thankfully verizon gave me a credit for the charge and was able to set up a Premium Text block on on my phones! Who Hoo. Had they not done this it would have been time to cancel Verizon.

  43. Alison says:

My daughter’s line has 11 calls from various premium SMS services including 75714 – all with unauthorized $9.99 charges. I called verizon to dispute & have the charges removed. They won’t remove, and could only give me contact phone numbers (that don’t get results) for 9 of the 11 services. VZW told me that if we didn’t respond to the txt msgs to cancel then the charges are valid. if they don’t have contact info, then how can they pass the charges through? It should be illegal to have to opt out to not get charged. My daughter did opt out of several msgs, and they continued anyway. The ones that we were charged for didn’t have that option. I now have a prem.msg.txt block, but can’t get the current charges removed.

Should be illegal to charge without authorization. The kids have all been told for years by authorities not to respond to unknown callers/e-mailer/txters so they don’t get targeted … this flies in the face of all their teachings. How do I get refunds for all of this? I’m on furlough and can’t afford to be paying all of these unsolicited charges.

  44. Cindy says:

I, too, have been hit with these charges & Verizon claims there is nothing they can do about it. I filed a complaint with Verizon & will also be filing one with the FCC about these unauthorized charges. It’s not right that we have no recourse. The 1-866-616-6067 line is always busy & the 1-866-616-6076 line is only recordings. Their email address of mbmobileinteractive.com is not valid. Verizon gave me these to try: Support@mblox.com
    suppurt@ringaza.com
    support@bigtimecrush.com
Good luck & file your complaints! Voice your concerns!

  45. Courtney says:

I have received multiple text messages on my iphone saying thanks for my subscription to Ringaza! At first I thought my ex boyrfriend was being an ass and tried screwing me over so I replied stop and thought that was it. A month later it happened again, I replied stop again. A few more months go by and AGAIN I get another text ALL texts I receive are at odd hours like 2am,3am,4am ect. Finally I tried calling the number….of course it doesn’t work…Now I’m trying to figure out how to stop this because obviously it will not end since after repling stop they continue to text me months later. I have AT&T and I haven’t noticed any charges because I’m on a family plan that our bill fluxuates so much I didn’t think much of it, but after reading how many other people are having the same problem Im looking into it. What I would like to know is that how did I get involved in this when i NEVER entered their webpage, never signed up or anything. Anyway….this ringaza is crap.

  46. Kevin says:

I accidentally subscribed to a service called RingAZA about a year ago. I promptly unsubscribed, but every month since I have been receiving text messages from them saying “thank you for continuing your subscription” and I am subsequently billed $9.99. Even if I unsubscribe shortly after, I still receive the same text message next month. The company does not respond to phone calls or e-mails. It seems as if there is no way to truly unsubscribe. This is a scam and something needs to be done about it.

  47. Victoria says:

I have been with Sprint for 3 months…I have had THREE billings with charges that had to be removed. I was promised compensation for: no service while they messed with the porting…no internet off for several mornings and only on when I spent hours trying to get a tech. I was charged for two lines (the one they gave me and the one I ported) even though I had only one. In all of this I was told to “hang in there”, that someone would call to compensate me and “make things right”. I put in a claim for the last billing mess up with the FCC and FINALLY someone called me to tell me that the last 5 supervisors lied about compensation.

  48. mike says:

cancelled subscription but was still charged for it. would like 2 have my account re-imburst

  49. mike says:

cancelled subscription but still was charged. want monies back on account

  50. Nathaly says:

I got charged 9.99 from Opera Telecom for 75714Ringaza which I have no knowledge of ever doing, downloading ringtones since i don’t need to download, I can make my own and I text STOP when I first got the TExy message. I don’t understand why this happened.

  51. Raymond Gady says:

    Stop – 654654

  52. wicked says:

This is so funny, you people crying for premium text messages. You know you or your kids see “FREE RINGTONE” or anything that says “FREE”, and you’re eyes light up light kids eyes on Christmas Morning. Stop replying to the text messages and you wont get charged. Don’t blame the cell phone companies for allowing your 13 year old kid to accept the “FREE” content. It’s not their responsability to raise your kids, IT’S YOURS!!! The cell phone companies sold YOU the account, not the underaged minor. After you walk out the store with that brand new phone, it’s up to you to decide what you want to do with it. It’s YOUR fault you’re getting charged and nobody elses. You want them to stop? Send a text message to the 5 or 6 digit number that is appearing on your bill, and put STOP in the text, and you wont be billed anymore. Call your cell provider, ask them to remove the “Premium Service” from your account, and ask to put a “Premium Text Message Block” on your account. It’s that simple. Now, stop crying and get to work before you get another $9.99 charge.

  53. Angie Creel says:

I recently received a text message from a 3rd party(you). My bill now reflects a $19.98 charge. I would like this amount refunded and this service cancelled. I cancelled this on my cel phone but it must not have been accepted. I would like refund ASAP. Thanks

  54. Fariba says:

Verizon gave me this MBmobile.com stuff to try too in order to get my refund, what a joke, who knows who is in this with whom, what a scam, they charge people $9.99 and good luck getting a live person on the line, and good luck getting a penny back from them , what a fraud, and nobody is stopping them,

  55. Jeannete Douglas says:

  58. pissed off says:

I think cell phone companys make up these companies and say that they are the ones doing it, and then they want you to pay $5 a month to put on parental control feature so that they can dig into your pockets a little deeper.

  59. brenda says:

    wot a complete scam,should be able to get money back,going to take off my next orange bill;

  65. Anne says:

  66. Richard says:

  84. Steve says:

    @ Jackie #82
I have the exact same charges on one of my numbers on my Sprint bill. This is the second month in a row I’ve been charged this.

  85. Ellen Lee says:

I also received a bill from Sprint with charges from Pangea. I had never heard of this company and do not recall receiving or authorizing and text messaging service. I have emailed a complaint to Pangea and the FTC. I had three charges for $9.99 each from three different companies. The Sprint representative stated that a refund will be issued on my next bill. I will let you know if that happens.

  86. Elizabeth says:

I have been receiving enumerous charges from MQube and mythumb shit, I spoke to my cel phone provider Virgin Mobile and they just didn’t care about it, nor even refunded me for anything. I have NEVER authorize this mobile service to charge me for anything, never asked for any service. I am so mad at those thieves!!!!! This is illegal and it is a crime, I just don’t know where to go for help, somebody stop this madness please.

  87. Annoyed User says:

Received Text from 33555 saying to call 1-800-235-7105. It is a SCAM…they have multiple texts for $9.99 charges if your reply. FTC needs to investigate these companies.

  88. Christiana says:

This company billed me 9.99 this past month for “premium messaging”. I contacted verizon because this phone had allready had blocks put on it month before so that no apps, ringtones, etc could be downloaded because my daughter and i had allready ran into issues with this. Somehow this company myluvcrush.com has found a way around the blocks and the only thing verizon could do was put a block on it for future. Im not sure if verizon is in the pockets of these people or not but it sure seems like it. now im forced to pay 9.99 extra for last months bill for something i never agreed to. This is nothing but a scam. has anyone else had the joy of dealing with this?

  89. robin hickey says:

I have been being charged additional fees on my nextel/sprint phone bill. Inever authorized this and actually tried to prevent this by blocking all text messages to this phone. after questioning sprint about these charges i was told
I was being charged by two separate companies not just one for months.i was very disappointed and expect to be refunded at the least. your help is appreciated in this matter at once.

  90. jesse harvey says:

well i noticed 4.99$ was coming missing out of 20 dollors from my account on my fone i copied the producted name and pasted it on google and this was the first site that came up its called e-Commerce Purchase i have no clue what this is

  91. Tammy Dowell says:

My daughter keeps getting charged for Mobitxt:alerts-41933 MM Alerts and Playphone Inc:Ringtone-Playphone 20888. We have texted them stop several times and nothing has been done. We are spending 24.98 a month for these and when we text stop nothing is being done. Sprint says that they do not have to refund me. What do I have to do to make this stop.

  92. Liz says:

m-Qube, Inc./ Funmobile charged a phone on my plan $19.99. It’s my mother in laws phone, she barely texts…doesn’t download. SCAM!!! ATT said they will credit my account, will wait and see next month.

  93. Marguerite King says:

I received 3 charges for 9.99, 2 from MoVoxx Alerts-73813 Chalkboard Quiz and 1 from Pangea Media Alerts-87313 Choos or lose. I don’t know what these charges are for and Sprint informs me that I have to call these companies to get a refund! Never ordered these services or heard of the companies…

  94. Jennifer says:

You were notified that it was a billable service. The carrier requires the company to do so, however you actually need to read the full message, or if it was a child’s line they needed to tell you.
Premium text are not 3rd party fraud, several sign up for them and enjoy them. Some banks even use the premium messages to notify their customers about account information. What if you wanted one of the services and the carrier blocked you from it? You’d be singing a different tune.

  95. CommanderZ says:

To #94 “Jennifer” Besides the obvious deceptions, the crux of the scam is that it can be billed thru the cell provider. Without that element, they couldn’t pull it off. So, why would a cell provider waste their time adding a charge to your bill, and then sending payment to the 3rd party??? See how simple this is…the cell companies get a cut. Otherwise, there is no motivation for them to bill this. It could all end in 1 day if the cell companies were held accountable. Yeah, the criminals that perpetrate this are bad, and they deserve to be in jail. Still, the cellular companies are the ones violating our trust, and our relationship with them. We must demand that our carriers stop this. Don’t buy the “it’s not us, it’s a 3rd party.” The carriers are willing participants. Call your state attorney generals. Contact the FCC. Contact your congressman and senators. Chances are, someone in there family has had this happen to them. Definitely stay mad as hell. Don’t let these criminals (3rd parties, Verizon, AAT, Tmobile and the rest get away with this. Refuse to pay the charge. Write them a written letter of complaint. Demand justice!

  96. Tammy says:

Received a charge of $9.99 and notification of a monthly subscription for daily inspiration texts, which I never ordered. AT&T refunded the charge, cancelled my subscription, and added a purchase block (with a code to allow desired purchases) to my line – all for no charge. Thanks AT&T. No thanks, mqube.

  97. POinOhio says:

FlyCell sent me txt telling me PIN# – My 7 yr old entered a PIN because she is 7!! She thought it was part of the free website she was creating. Turns out they send you a PIN to charge your CELL $9.99 for something I, an adult, never agreed to or downloaded to my ‘smart’ phone. I called spoke to their poor Offshore call center who stated they are NOT allowed to submit a Credit my cell (AT&T) contract only Charges… They are sending me a refund via Check in 3 to 4 WEEKS. Really it takes a month? AND the taxes your charged on your cell bill for this service ~ the IRS gets to keep it.

  98. Alexander says:

I was ripped by Telus for $28 based on $2/message * 14 messages of sheer nonsense. The charges were listed under Premium Message title and Telus rep refused to either drop the charge or even to PROVIDE THE DETAILS for the scammers. The charge came from SHIPPERZ – a plain site of scammers.

To the new cell phone subscribers: make sure to exclude messaging from your plans.

  99. Beth says:

Just checked my new bill and found 2 9.99 subscription charges from m-qube on my husbands phone. Someone needs to do something about this company.

  100. Rick says:

#91 Tammy Dowell – has your issue been resolved? If not I may be able to help.

  101. Debra says:

You can cancel your subscription plan(s) at anytime from your mobile phone handset, send us a text message with the word “stop”, “end” or “cancel” to 69097.

  102. Ashley says:

I got a text message from this company to say if I wanted these inspirational quotes to end was to send “stop” to them and I did. I am now being charged 10 dollars a month for something I didn’t sign up for.

  103. Yang Li says:

I don’t know why I got several rubbish text message from « My 1 Pure Love TV » and charged me extra 10$ the month before last month, last month 20$, who know what will happen this month? I don’t know how they know my cell phone number, after I received their first message I immediately reply them not to send me text message again, but they still send the rubbish message to me and of course charged money from my cell phone bill. The « My 1 Pure Love TV » makes money like this, a band of rascals! And what is more, the “Rogers” can do nothing, they protect their customers like this.

  104. Margaret says:

I just got charged $10 for two messages from My 1 Pure Love TV. I don’t know who they are and surely didn’t ask for them to rip me off. Unfortunately Rogers couldn’t reverse the charges nor could they block this service for me.

  105. Unauthorized charges M-cube says:

I wonder how many customers this company is able to bill without authorization. My wife never authorized this purchase which I only caught because they got greedy and billed us twice in the same month.

  107. what a scam! says:

What a bunch of crap!!! why is it legal for anycompany to charge people for anything unsolicited? it would be like me going into someones room taking $100.00 and never saying anything, but if I am asked I would say , “well you never said I coldn’t and if you want me to stop you have to tell me to stop from now on. awesome I love the way this works. I wonder how much send is really charging and I wonder how much at&t charges for on top of the send me charge as a “handling” fee.

  110. Kate Chang says:

If you find your cell phone being charged by 73813 Quiz Clb 8004166129 without your williness, you can call 8004166129, they will stop charging you and quit the messages. And the clerk was very polite and readily did as you required.

Rogers gave me their phone number: 1-888-846-6939. I don’t even know how to use texting as I only got the phone for emergencies. I NEVER gave out my number to anyone, I NEVER signed up for anything and I was getting texts that I don’t even know how to read.

They used up 80 dollars worth of my air time, but Rogers was kind enough to put it back on.

I just received our monthly bill with an unknown $10 charge. I contacted Bell and was told that it was from a company named M-qube!! We did NOT subscribe to anything from this company and Bell says they can’t stop it! The rep also told me that there is already 2 more charges of $5 on our new billing cycle and the cycle has just begun!!! This is FRAUD!! And I can NOT believe that companies are allowed to get away with this crap in this day and age! We feel violated!!! Stop taking advantage of hard working people! Good thing we pay attention to our bill!!

  123. Rek says:

When I did a youtube survey, and popped up something like “please put in the code to verify your survey and qualify for…” when I put in the code before I read, it appeared that it was an ad from mind quiz text alert, and it says that $9.99/month may apply, I did not know what really I had done, because it seemed to me that I just put in the code to finish my youtube survey, but in fact I was mislead to subcribe the quiz text alert, and my wireless bill was charged $9.99. When I search “quiz text alert” to find the company that I can contact, there is one website with no contact info.
What should I do with it?

  125. Greg says:

was surreptitiously charged $9.99 when youtube.com asked me to complete a survey for a chance to win an ipad. never saw anywhere online it was going to charge me. you’re texted a pin that you must use to complete the survey. apparently when you use the pin, you are agreeing it charge you $9.99. Shame on youtube.com for allowing such deceptive marketing practices. I’ll never complete another survey for any .com, ever!

I just called AT&T to remove a $9.99 monthly charge for a horoscope service that I NEVER signed up for. This charge comes after my phone bill got $15 less for not using my third line at all. I suspect that ATT is trying to steal money because I might not notice it at all. How many people really read through the 20 page bill? AT&T should not get away with this!!!

  139. Virginia Baich says:

My daughter has been paying for months and months for your service!! I did NOT subscribe to this service and it should be REFUNDED!! 147. caitlyn says:

i dnt wan this texts anymore….they charge me even if i sent 3 texts with “stop”…what can i do?????

  148. Sherry L says:

I DID NOT sign up for anything to be charged on my cell phone bill especially for a Daily Horoscope at $9.99 per month. After receiving the second or third text message, I texted back to STOP. They did stop texting but not charging my telephone bill. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND NEEDS TO STOP! AT&T would only refund the unused portion of the current month (about $4) and $9.99 for next month’s charge which will happen in 9 days. (Why can’t this be stopped immediately?) I do not text, tweet or surf the net on my phone so I do not have text service so I had to pay for the unsolicited texts plus my text to STOP the service. No wonder AT&T isn’t motivated to stop these illegal charges — they get revenue from people like me. I noticed that numerous people on this web site have a similar complaint. But on April 12, 2011, REK had the identical same complaint with the same merchant PANGU (Short Code: 59398; ID 17083). How many have to complain before the phone companies will do something?

  149. Rick Scott says:

I am FURIOUS!!! While casually glancing at my ATT bill, I noticed some weird subscriptions for my wife’s phone. I knew she wouldn’t have subscribed to anything, and further investigation revealed this was ongoing from Feb 2011 to now (July 2011). My 10y.o. son who just got a phone, also had these charges for the last 2 months. They were “Best Eco Alert” and “Text Alert”, and varied from $9.99 to $10.81. ATT took some of these off, but said they could only reimburse going back 90 days, while admitting they were a scam and served no purpose (at least not to my unsuspecting wife and son). Unbelievable that this is allowed to continue. Rep said there was an ongoing lawsuit. How can I recover this stolen money??

  150. Faline Ray says:

A few months ago I received a random text about horoscopes from tomorrowpredicts.com which I did not sign up for. The message read “Continue 2 follow your dreams with Horoscopes from tomorrowpredict.com. Txt HELP 4help or call (800)235-7105 $9.99 STOP 2quit renwl Msg&Data Rates May Aply.” I sent a reply message STOP. A few weeks later I saw a charge on my Sprint bill for $9.99 for Pangu Alerts 59398 Tom Predicts. Was I charged for replying STOP? I have NOT used the horoscope service and never authorized these charges. I called the 800 number that appeared in the original text I got and canceled. It was an automated computer voice, never was able to talk to a person to question charges. I figured I would just take the 9.99 loss once. However, the text came again the next month and I was again charged $9.99. Same thing happened…This is the third time it has appeared on my bill. Irritated…I researched on the internet the key words Pangu Alerts 59398 that keep appearing on my bill and found this website that has many complaints of this Scam! I called Sprint, told them about the scam and told them I am not paying the 9.99 any more as I never authorized nor am I using this horoscope service. so I asked them to block the number and refund my money. They refunded my account $25.00, which was the max allowed for refund. What a SCAM! Ugh…Pangu, should be called Pain-Don’t-Do!!!!

  151. Kevin says:

I saw on my cell bills 33.75$ other supplier and i never ask for something like this my cell compagny told me that they can’t do anything about it because it was the supplier that bills Rogers for the text message that they send me on my cell wich i nerver ask for it. 152. Brian says:

I live in Canada and my latest July bill included charges of $31.50 for 6 unsolicited text messages from M-Qube. I contacted my cell phone company Bell twice and both reps said there was nothing they could do about the charges. One of them said they would send a stop request to M-Qube on my behalf so I will wait to see what happens on my next bill. It is unbelievable that this activity is allowed to happen.

  153. Eileen Stone says:

  158. dave says:

Two years back, I got charged for un-authorized text messages for 6 months with absolutely no knowledge about the existence of the 3rd party service provider – and funny that I have never received anything and even I have completed disable text I still got the 20 dollar monthly charge. I was fed up because the service carrier couldn’t do anything about it. It took me a while to get a full reimbursement from Rogers. And I had to switch service to Bell. But just now I found our form my bill that mysterious charge just came back again. I suspects that is the re-carnation of the same nightmare. Bell agreed to remove the the charges from my bill and requested a stop on the service. I hope that is the end – but I highly suspect that based on my previous experience.

  159. Brenda says:

Been trying to get this fraudulent 9.99 charge refunded to me by Media-Breakaway for 2 months now! I did not o.k. this charge and I have had it with these crooks! I do get emails from Glenda Juarez apologizing all over the place but nothing changes!

  160. Lori says:

I have been billed 9.99 for something I never ordered! Verizon took it off my bill and blocked them.

  161. Ethan says:

I’ve been getting for 2 months now a charge for $9.99 from something called game theory…yet I have no idea and never got texts from them….now my phone is on my family plan and my father pays the bill and was really po’d when he saw that and asked me….Not sure what to do..he wants to know and I don’t know…

  162. Mike Rossi says:

For the last 4 months, I have had $9.99 added to my Verizon bill. It seems
a 3rd party vendor texts a message and if you don’t take the time to cancel
it via a “return text”, they sign you up for an unwanted service at a
monthly cost. Verizon says this is legal and they have no control over the
issue. They have refunded the amount but warned they could not after the
    last time.

From what I have read, this happens to many people and I am certain it is
scam. I imagine it involves millions of dollars.

  163. Damali says:

I have been charged 4.99 for an application I have never downloded to my phone. M-cube is b.s my phone company has reversed the charges.

  164. Damali says:

I was given the text number 411247 to opt out of the text alerts reply “stop”.

  165. Mike Lee says:

I was charged $9.99 for something called “Game Theory” and $9.99 for something called “SendMe”. I called T-Mobile and they said “as a one time courtesy” they would block all short codes (5 digit numbers on your bill associated with those scam companies) so that my account could no longer sign up for things like that or be charged for any of those memberships since they needed to be signed up via the phone. Luckily T-mobile also reversed the charges also, but since it isn’t charged through T-mobile, I would not see the credit for another month or so. We’ll see if I get that credit, but the T-mobile representative was very nice and willing to help.

  166. Aleardo Manacero says:

I’ve been charged by four different scam services after filling up an internet survey about testing computers. The companies are m-Qube and Mblox In the survey they aske by which services I would like to receive, answering “NO” for every single one. One (Mblox) could be cancelled online through AT&T website. The other three (all from M-Qube) forbid cancellations. I’m calling AT&T to get this done.

  167. Nate says:

I was charged 6.99 two months in a row on my service carrier account. I never asked for the service, or authorized a payment. It was automatically STOLEN out of my phone carrier account. I went to my service provider and they reversed the charges. Then they put a block on my phone so the scammers will not be able to steal any more of my money. I sujest you go to your provider and get a block put on your phone. If you feel like purchasing a ringtone or wallpaper. Have your provider take the block off temporarely, then have them put it back on when your done.

  168. haley says:

i was charged 10 bucks for a stupid ring tone after buying my 4g iphone last month then some jerk stole it

  169. maria says:

yo nunca ecomprado este pinche programa y tube que pagar $6.99 es un robo lo que estan asiendo los de BOOST MOBILE!!!

  170. Chris says:

Every month Im getting billed $40 bucks by Verizon and they cant stop it. Said that the charges are coming from Facebook and I have to call them! They cant event tell me what the charges are for.

  171. dian says:

I am being billed (via Sprint) for charges from this company and have never subscribed on either phone. Sprint is unable to block them and to tell me how to stop the charges. I am going to have to call in every month and have the charges removed. They are running @ 9.99 per charge. There is another company fundome media? doing the same thing. I’m about at my wits end over this! They can’t refund over $40.00 in previous charges. SOMETHING needs to be done. This is RIDICULOUS! There isn’t even a way to contact the company and speak with them (although at this point it probably would be more like yelling.) SOMEONE HELP! PLEASE

  172. Richard Maupin says:

charged for things i did not purchase

  173. DeMont Conner says:

I just checked my boost mobile account, & found I was charged $6.99 for “mqube”. What the hell is that? I just dropped $50.00 bucks to ensure that my next (the 6th payment to get the $5.00 reduction), payment is on time. And now all of a sudden I get this bogus charge? What’s up with that? What else can I do about this?

  174. Cynthia says:

ATT is charging back my go phone account $9.99 per month for ringtones/games that they said I bought from M-Qube. I never bought or authorized anything from M-Qube and just found out about the charges which go back monthly in my account history since April 2011. ATT refunded $9.99 for September and October but said they couldn’t do anything else. They would not give me the contact info for M-Qube and would not tell me when the $9.99 charge started. I am the only person who has access to this phone and account and I know I didn’t authorize any charges. In fact, I never even heard of M-Cube until yesterday when I found out about the bogus $9.99 monthly charge. How can I get a refund for the full amount that I have been charges from M-Cube?

  175. Vickie says:

AT&T was also charging me $9.99 on one phone and 2.99 on the other on my account. They at first refunded me for one month. I then got to thinking. I put a data block on my phone just after I bought it.I have had no internet access since just after I bought the phone.I called back and asked them how they could charge me for something I do not have access to. They refunded me the full year after I reminded them that there was no way I could have accessed these applications. And yes the company charging me for the apps was M-Qube. So call them back and demand a full refund and demand that they block all internet apps at no charge to you. They tried to charge me $4.99 a month so that I wouldn’t get these internet apps even though I didn’t have access. Grrrr

  176. Kristine says:

I was charged $9.99 from (877)3-SENDME T-Mobile rep was trying to explain why there is such charge. I told her that I dispute the charge as I have never authorized such charge and have never heard of SendMe before. T-Mobile rep then said that as a one time courtesy, the charge will be reversed and they will do somekind of “block”. Waiting for credit from T-Mobile and crutinizing the phone bills from now on.

  177. Richard Jagodnik says:

2waytraffic is a scam. They billed me $30 and insisted that we had to have entered a code that they provided. We never entered a code nor even heard of this company. I would love if someone would launch a lawsuit and rid these scammers once and for all.

  178. love trivia says:

if i will received a message from love trivia im always charged 5 pesos on my load,….. i don’t want anymore that love trivia…

  179. muiquie vallega says:

if i will received a message from love trivia im always charged 10 pesos on my load,….. i don’t want anymore that love trivia… they are so annoying

  180. BettyAnn says:

Have been charged 9.99 a month for 9 months for a service I did not subscribe too.. Called Movie Trivia Subscription. Company will not refund and now trying to get back from Verizon. Had Verizon block these companies and hope I have seen the end of it. When I called the company they are rude and tell you you answered an ad that requested a code they sent me. Do not remember getting this and know I never agreed to be charged for this useless service.

  181. Cynthia says:

Seems like the phone companies have should have to eat more of these charges since they are collecting them for these companies… A way for them to double check that they are actual authorized charges or not.

  182. H Bakeman says:

I don’t understand why mqube is still getting away with this! Look at the dates of the first complaint, and I just found the 9.99 charge from them today, more than a year after the first complaint. ATT was helpful, but why isn’t anything being done to prevent this!?!?!

  183. Dulcy Leavitt says:

I have tried to cancel the 69999 zodiac twice doing what your website tells you to do each time i get a message back saying it did not understand and to call or go to this website i am being charged twice what my phone payments are for your horoscopes and i want them to stop now. thank you

  184. Catherine Wyatt says:

@ wicked. Who the hell do you think you are? If this doesn’t concern you then stay the hell out of it. Don’t sit there in your glass palace casting stones at people you know NOTHING about. If you’re so smart why didn’t it occur to you that not all of us HAVE children living at home. My kids are 30, live 50 miles away and have cell phones of their own. Neither of them has EVER used my cell phone for anything. And I live with my 87 year-old mother who can BARELY handle the TV Remote! She wouldn’t even know how to turn my phone on, and would never even consider trying. No one else uses my cell phone. And I NEVER click on something simply bacause it says it’s free. Of course, in your apparent infinite wisdom, you will probably still insist that you know more about my life and myself than me. I was fortunate, my phone company reversed the charges and told me that they would personally be filing a complaint against the company’s in question. Stay out of things you know nothing about. This is not a forum for people to share their opinions of child rearing. It’s for people who have been taken advantage of by shady practices to seek some type of resolution. They’ve been thru enough, they don’t need a self-righteous self-absorbed, rant on how it’s all their fault. Like I said, if it doesn’t concern you, stay the hell out of it. You have NO IDEA what you’re talking about.

  185. Chris Chaney says:

MQUBE.com is a complete scam! Called ATT and they removed charges. WTH! Go to their website – what a joke (scam). How to shut these people down?

  186. GAIL says:

I keep getting some sort of BOOST Trivia Text that I did not ask for. I have call and asked to have it removed and when paying on line I e-mail their customer service to no avail here is the text number 62131 (3) its for quiz, triva and who knows I want them to leave me alone. I even told them I will get service elsewhere and look like I will have to do just that.

  187. Suzanne Reeves says:

Just received my cell phone statement with charges ($10.81) from this site.Am NOT happy.!!! Called AT&T any they were nice enough to let me know where the charges were coming from – have NEVER even heard of this website!! Should be a way to stop this!!!

  188. Mike M says:

Was charged $9.99 from the text number 98952 under something called chalkboard chat winbigbidlow : Alerts. It was charged to my son’s number. This is the second time in as many months that this has happened. At first, Sprint acts like there is nothing they can do (you subscribed), but then they credit my account when I press them on it.

  189. mikaela m says:

i dont want any services from this company! STOP IMMEDIATLY!!

  190. Hammad M says:

I was also charged $9.99 for something i didnt want and did not buy!!!! this shit needs to stop

  191. J T says:

The charges just appeared as a monthly charge ($9.99) for a service I never even heard of! Called AT&T and they helped emplace a buying block with a pin also stopped the charges aswell as refunded my money with out my asking. A word of warning, PROTECT YOUR PHONE NUMBER LIKE YOUR SSN

  192. Polly says:

These jokers put 9.99 on my cell phone bill for 3 months. I got their text but immediately deleted it. Unbeknownst to me, if I had scrolled down in the text, in order to stop it, I needed to text ‘stop’.
I complained to AT&T and they took 30 dollars off my bill. This type of thing should be illegal.

  193. Caryn says:

Agree with many of the above complaints. Charged $24.99 a month for services from pingroll and playphone. Not authorized by any stretch of the imagination. AT&T refunded. However, this practice should be illegal. I also get texts from crazy companies. Only have 200 texts a month. Spam texting should also be illegal.

  194. Al's Monte says:

M-Cube.com charged my account 20.00 for 2 downloads that we never downloaded. Companies like this need to be stopped. They are wrecking it for everyone else. ATT took off the charges, and blocked M-Qube for charging me further.

  195. Maxim H says:

saw 2 mqube charges of 9.95 each. Tried going to the mqube.com site…it doesn’t exist.
Called ATT and they not only cancelled the 2 $9.95 charges, they also cancelled a $17 charge that I didn’t see anywhere on my bill! Plus they put a block on further charges. By the way, I recall this started after signing up for a contest at walgreens.com I thought they were trustworthy, but they have proved they aren’t. I feel stupid to have fallen for this, but I will avoid shopping at walgreens.com so I don’t have to feel idiotic getting fooled again. Walgreens has really shot themselves in the foot with promoting this sort of fraud.

  196. Chris says:

Just got 2 charges removed from my AT&T bill. The CSR was very helpful and explained that even though I responded ‘stop’ – the text is some sort of malware that downloads in the background on the phone. So he enabled parental controls, and hopefully this will fix the problem. I questioned him on how AT&T could allow another company to access my billing information, but he dodged the question.

Mquibe and Motricity were the two ‘companies’ that charged me – both websites in the texts were fake.

  197. levi says:

Your fucking stupid for thinking I was gonna pay for shit I never authorized! I will be getting this out to everyone so they can realize what your doing, if it does not stop I will be going to my lawyer and finding out who you are and what company you work for and will be suing you for everything you have if you want to continue stealing from people. I will not pay these exceedingly ridiculous prices.

  198. Rico says:

Why do people post comments on here like they’re talking to the company that actually charged their account? Do they not realize that this is a website set up by attorneys who are looking for fodder with which to file class actions? Posting messages on here to companies that are charging you for services you don’t want and never intended to purchase will not stop those charges. Either call your cell carrier and have them cancel the unwanted premium service for you and see if they’ll reverse the charges or call the telephone number associated with that charge on your bill and cancel the service yourself and demand that the company issue you a refund. Don’t think I don’t feel your pain. The reason I’m on this site is because I too had unauthorized charges for “premium services” which turned out to be celebrity trivia or some such nonsense. And I agree these companies should be put out of business, but as consumers we need to take responsibility, too, and figure out the right company to call to get things fixed. Are there that many naive people out there that think that by leaving a post on this website (or some other similar site) that the charges will stop? If so, then I’m afraid there’ll never be an end to companies like the ones complained about on here . . . because it’s just too easy to take advantage of dumb people . . . and by the looks of things, there are a lot of dumb people out there.

  199. Karen says:

Sprint is charging me 9.99 a month for Chalkboard Quiz. I did not sign up for anything. I am trying to get this resolved with Sprint. Customer Service said they would block it, and reverse the charges for the 2 months I was charged. I still am angry that they can charge me for something I never signed up for!

  200. Jennifer says:

Got charged for 2 ringtone wallpaper for my phone. I don’t know where this came from. Total scam.

  201. Jose says:

mqube charged me $9.99 without my autority. this company is a scam! how can we stop this?

  202. david han says:

AT&T charged me 9.99 for mqube.com. I’m going to call AT&T to see if they can remove this charge. wish me luck!!

  203. Melissa says:

Just wondering if I made a mistake…my bill instructed me to text “STOP” to the short code listed on my bill to unsubscribe. Has this worked for anyone?

  204. Diana P says:

Also listed on my cellphone bill at WebDirect. It says that I am charged $9.99 for a ringtone and that it will be renewed every month. I don’t even like special ringtones, so obviously I did not download this. I suspect this breach happened after clicking on a link to win something free on facebook.

  205. Tom A. says:

Mqube.com is a scam. Called ATT and had the charge removed. Note : this si a subscription service so you need to tell ATT you want to cancel the entire Subscription. Not just this month’s charge.. Att allows you to dispute up to $100 charges each billing cycle.

  206. Kou T. says:

Got charged 9.99. Called ATT and had them cancel the subscription after trying from my phone and it didn’t work> turned on parental control on account

  207. Meg R says:

Clicked on a FB ad for a Caribou coffee card for filling out a survey. Got a text to put a code in online, and in the text it stated it was going to charge me 9.99 per month after I put the code in.
9.99 showed up on my phone charges. I disputed it on my T-mobile plan, and they requested a refund and put those type of texts from 3rd party’s on a black list. Lets see if it works.

  208. Christy M says:

Got charged for 2 months for m-qube, for $19.98 each month, which I DID NOT authorize!!! This was on my 15yr olds phone, she DID NOT authorize either. She is very responsible about her phone and knows not to load ANYTHING on it. Calling AT&T now!!!!

  209. Marie S. says:

Just noticed the same charges on my bill. Called AT&T right away and they are going to credit my account for the charges. Hopefully it doesn’t charge my phone next month because the bill stated it had a renewal date and the AT&T customer service rep couldn’t tell.

  210. Amy O. says:

On 1/10/12 I received a random text from Chalkboard Quiz and immediately texted “stop” as it instructed me to do. I have no idea who this company is, nor did I sign up for anything to receive text messages from them. Well $9.99 was charged to my AT&T bill on 1/11/12. I am FURIOUS! Thank goodness I saved the text message and have proof. This is complete and total theft!

  211. Duckki Oe says:

Same here, I got some random text messages. And I didn’t want them because each message charges me a fee. So, I tried to stop it and sent a STOP message. Now, I got charged $9.99. This is clearly a scam!

  212. Eric H says:

My AT&T wireless account began showing a $10.81 monthly charge on Nov 26, 2011 with the description “Rington/Wallppr/Alrts” and a note saying “Questions? Contact http://www.mqube.com“. The URL is, of course, not functional and I never knowingly subscribed to anything or had any contact with mqube or any other cellphone accessory providers. The AT&T bill also refers to “REMOMEDIA” in connection with these charges. Remomedia seems to be some sort of internet marketing company, but I’m not sure.

  213. Wendy says:

I found a charge on AT&T in this bill for mqube. I called AT&T and they reversed the charge, and made sure I was unsubscribed. They also gave me a new 4 digit password that I will now be required to put into my phone anytime a charge (other than iTunes) tries to go through.

  214. James Chounramany says:

I found a $10 charge from mblox.com which I never authorized. AT&T was only able to give me a prorated refund, which I am not happy about. This company should be shut down.

  215. JoAnn Ellis says:

I had 2 gharges on my cell phone this month for the amount of 19.98 one was text alert the other aution/ring tones.I did not order anything this is just flat out trying to steal our money. At&t said I would have to contact these people. How does this kind of thing happen. And how can it happen this is crimnal and someone should pay. Sincerly Pissed

  216. John says:

I am a retiree, have no business use except emergency contact purposes on my mobile phone and therefore I used Rogers payasyougo, no bills until the credit on the card is used up. . My monthly usage for the past five years is about C$8. Last August, I topup the credit on my phone and the balance after topup was about $130.

Then in November, I bought a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy. A few days later I got a text message from 33445 on a quiz contest, and believing it was from Rogers, I answered the message and keyed in my phone number. Then I regulary received text message from 33445 and I deleted them each time without opening as I did not know how to get rid of such annoying messages. Until last week, the service on my phone was disconnected because the balance was zero. I called Rogers and discovered that from November till February, I was charged $76 in total by Rogers on text messages.

I definitely was not told and never received any information that there is a $2 charge for each message until I surfed on the internet when I could no longer use my mobile phone. Sprized and Rogers refused to refund me as they maintained that I had to bear the charges since I responded to the first meaasge.

You guys on monthly bills arelucky. I am a retiree and have no business use other than calls from my children when not at home and therefore I use Rogers payasyougo, no bills until my credit on the card is used up. My monthly usage for the past five years is about C$8. Last August, I topup the credit on my phone and the balance after topup was about $130.

Then in November, I bought a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy. I got a text message from 33445 about a quiz, and believing it was from Rogers, I answered the message. Until last week, the service on my phone was disconnected because the balance was zero. I called Rogers and discovered that from November till February, I was charged $76 in total on text messages by Sprized, through Rogers, even though I never opened any subsequent messages since the first one.

I definitely did not received any information on the costs on such text messages. As a retiree, I would not spend $2 in participating the “contest”. I tried to obtain refund from Rogers and Sprized, but they maintained that I am responsible for the charges since I responded to the first message.

  217. Rosa Rossiter says:

I was charged over 35.00 for purchases I never searched for or authorized. I want these removed from my cell phone bill

  218. Mary Randle says:

Same here, I got some random text messages. And I didn’t want them because each message charges me a fee. So, I tried to stop it and sent a STOP message. Now, I got charged $9.99. It’s truly a crime that our hard earned $$$ is stolen like this. These individuals should be penalized to the full extent of the law. They are no better then common theives!!!!

  219. Kathryn Holmes says:

January 2012, my husband and I each received unsolicited text messages ChalkboardQuiz. We texted STOP immediately but the $9.99 charges appeared on our AT&T cellular bill. It seems criminal to me and I hope something can be done about it. I am curious if the phone companies are complicit.

  220. K.Wright says:

I was billed by mqube too!!! Which i thought was weird because i would have to put in my iTunes password and I would be billed from my bank account… Called AT&T, they told me to go to att.com/db, a code would be sent to me and i could dispute the charge online. Took a few tries but i got it! Removed and refunded! Charge me will ya! I’m satisfied with AT&T and how the helped me and how easy it was to get Mqube to stop billing me for no reason.

  221. Dan Rodden says:

I wasa billed $9.99 for a ringtone I neither wanted nor received. It showed up on my BISUNESS account much to the consternation of my boss!

  222. Jeannine Veigel says:

I was billed in January and February by mqube.com as well. All I did was call AT&T by dialing 611 from my cell phone as indicated on my bill for billing questions. AT&T credited my account and said it was part of a scam by mqube.com. In addition to crediting my accout, they made sure to “unsubscribe” me to the services of that phony provider. I do not understand how phone providers access AT&Ts billing services so easily??

  223. Corry says:

My fiancee’s phone was billed 9.99 + tax for 4 months in a row for “text alerts” that she never subscribed to. AT&T would only refund the charges for the past 2 months because “anything over 60 days” was ineligible. I now need to review our bill each month to make sure we’re not being ripped off by companies going through M-Qube.

  224. Lorna says:

Reviewing my phone bills for tax purposes, I realized I was being charged on my business phone for something from Mqube. The business phone is used only for incoming and outgoing calls. I do not text, and I delete all received texts as they are unsolicited. Fortunately, I called ATT&T in time and got my money back. However, AT&T needs to do something about these scammers. I do not reply to text messages, even from AT&T. So how did this service get started? Unless I log into my account with my computer and select the service, DON’T BILL ME. MQUBE Should be SUED.

  225. stefan says:

Charged $9.99 fraudulently on my cell phone. See my blog: http://www.swecsoftware.com/blog/2012/1/frustrating-fraudulent-illegal

  226. Brian Roberts says:

Same thing…just took a look at my bill because it was a little larger and there are TWO $9.99 charges on it and it’s set up for MONTHLY. I didn’t and don’t want this. Not COOL! Not sure how they got on there.

  227. adam says:

Charged $9.99 fraudulently on my cell phone

  228. steve says:

It is a shame that you have people out there that illegally screw you out of your hard earned money, this company is screwing me and others for $9.99 mo.and they need to be arrested for fraud.

  229. eddie says:

Just saw ClickGen/mqube charge for $9.99 on my AT&T bill. Did not ask for this subscription service. Can’t find how to cancel it. Any help out there?

  230. John B says:

I got my bill today and it had 2 charges for 9.99 each. I called ATT and this place was supposed to start billing me today so he was able to remove it, but I need to go through my other previous bills and make sure I was not charged. I do not even know what this is or did not authorize this what gives.

  231. John L says:

I also have AT&T and was charged $9.99 for this. I received spam text messages which said to stop receiving messages reply “stop”. I did reply “stop” but I was still charged! What a joke that AT&T would even allow 3rd parties to freely charge their customers!!

  232. john says:

I have AT&T charged 9.99 how do you stop it. AT&T said they cant do it yet

  233. Roger says:

When we receivied last months Sprint bill be were shocked to see $60.00 worth of unauthorized charges. That per a Sprint Manager our perfectly legal. It is amazing how companies can let 3rd party services have access to your account with out your permission all someone has to do is enter your number and they can charge services to your account. After several emails and telephone calls Sprint removed the charges. But still that is a breach of my account security when they allow soemone to charge services to my account without my permisson.

  234. Shannon P says:

I was going through my bill and noticed not one but two different charges on my bill for Tom Predicts, and one for bid and win, both charging me 9.99 each per month this went on for over a year because I just didn’t catch it and sprint didn’t tell me about the charges when I would ask why my bill was so high. I sent the word “stop” to the short text number and I received a message that said I was not subscribed, there for I have been charged for a service in which I never received anything in return.

    First time complaint

    Sir,

My Reliance CDMA mobile no. is 9342528570. This is CDMA mobile.

My previous balance is Rs. 31/- in my mobile on 02-03-2012

Today 03.03.2012 recharged Rs. 50/- after deducting some charges it comes to Rs. 40/-

    Total balance supposed to come Rs. 71/- ( i.e Rs.31/- + Rs.40/-)

I asked customer care, they sent message regarding balance, it is showing Rs. 46/- only.

I asked customer care, they told me that I called international call no is 9259790987 on 02.03.2012 at 11.30 P.M night.

I am not called any international call the said time. This number is not in my mobile dialled menu.

They wrongly deducted Rs. 25/- in my balance. They refused to reverse and get back the amount to me.

Please look into the matter and get back the amount to me.

    Second complaint
    Sir,

Reliance customer care called me from 02230388366 at 4.52 pm on 13.03.2012. Now they told “You have made several outgoing calls to others. Because only may be deducted Rs. 25/-. We are ready to give outgoing calls list”

I can’t accept their reply sir. Before customer care told me that you have made international call, because only we have deducted Rs. 25/-.

You see sir. One shot they deducted Rs. 25/- from my prepaid amount Rs. 71/-. Now they are telling you have made several outgoing calls. They are giving now complete reverse statement for to escape from their mistake.

Please take action against him and credit the amount Rs. 25/- to my mobile.

Every week for the past several weeks I have received a call on my cell phone from 503-468-5198. It is a political survey. Can I have this number blocked?

  237. Carolyn K says:

Was fraudulently charged $9.99 by AT&T for a monthly subscription entered by Provider BULLROARE. One call to AT&T stopped the charges and they were credited to my account. Would love to be able to stop these types of companies from preying on consumers.

I was charged by AT&T for 2 different ringtons that never ordered. Called to have it cancelled and refunded. NOT the first time this happened, so I check bill every month when it comes in. This ATT rep wanted to sell me a 19.95 PER MONTH thing to keep from having 9.99 charged again. When I decided to hang up and just go to mqube’s website myself, he found he could refund without me buying the 19.95.

  244. Latrice says:

I was charged as well. $9.99 for ATT Navigator with promo, $9.99 for rington/wallppr/alrts and $9.99 for FoodrecipeAlerts. I called ATT and they kindly reversed the fees after telling me this was a one time courtesy, then suggested I sign up for Parental Control for $4.99 monthly per cell line to block these services. Although I am happy they reversed the fees. Why would I want to pay extra money to stop erroneous charges? With all the complaints I’ve read for today alone, cell phone companies should be doing something on their end to ensure this doesn’t continue to happen.

  245. Gwyneth says:

I called my mobile carrier (Virgin Mobile) as I have a pay as you go plan that had texting capability (something I don’t need or use) and found that in my billing statement that I had been charged $9.99 for two months for a SMS service that I didn’t even know I supposedly had. When I called Virgin to question what the charges were for, the Virgin rep was very helpful in explaining how they had been incurred. A company outside of Virgin had texted me and by my failure to respond to the texts, they were able to bill me for a service that until now I didn’t even know I had, and certainly didn’t want. The Virgin rep was able to remove the charges and refund the money to my account. But told me that the only way to avoid future charges was to respond to the texts with a “STOP” message in return.
I am a woman that struggles with two stage 4 cancers among other issues and the phone I have is really only an emergency link to the outside world should I need it, so I rarely even have my phone turned on, hence why I didn’t even know I had been charged for a service that I didn’t authorize let alone know about or want.
The solution has been to disable the texting feature of my phone with Virgin Mobile (which I didn’t want anyway) and try to contact the company that has the unmitigated nerve to prey on people like me and others who don’t understand how they are being stolen from without so much as their knowledge let alone their consent.
I think the FCC and the BBB (who must know that this is going on) needs to step up and be the responsible agencies that they claim to be and put an immediate “STOP” to these unscrupulous and thieving companies from have the ability to word these “agreements” in such a way that people don’t even have to respond to their advances in whatever form, to be charged for services they never wanted or asked for!
FCC! BBB! WHERE are you, when we the unsuspecting public needs you???
