I found a charge on AT&T in this bill for mqube. I called AT&T and they reversed the charge, and made sure I was unsubscribed. They also gave me a new 4 digit password that I will now be required to put into my phone anytime a charge (other than iTunes) tries to go through.

My AT&T wireless account began showing a $10.81 monthly charge on Nov 26, 2011 with the description “Rington/Wallppr/Alrts” and a note saying “Questions? Contact http://www.mqube.com“. The URL is, of course, not functional and I never knowingly subscribed to anything or had any contact with mqube or any other cellphone accessory providers. The AT&T bill also refers to “REMOMEDIA” in connection with these charges. Remomedia seems to be some sort of internet marketing company, but I’m not sure.

Same here, I got some random text messages. And I didn’t want them because each message charges me a fee. So, I tried to stop it and sent a STOP message. Now, I got charged $9.99. This is clearly a scam!

On 1/10/12 I received a random text from Chalkboard Quiz and immediately texted “stop” as it instructed me to do. I have no idea who this company is, nor did I sign up for anything to receive text messages from them. Well $9.99 was charged to my AT&T bill on 1/11/12. I am FURIOUS! Thank goodness I saved the text message and have proof. This is complete and total theft!

Just noticed the same charges on my bill. Called AT&T right away and they are going to credit my account for the charges. Hopefully it doesn’t charge my phone next month because the bill stated it had a renewal date and the AT&T customer service rep couldn’t tell.

Got charged for 2 months for m-qube, for $19.98 each month, which I DID NOT authorize!!! This was on my 15yr olds phone, she DID NOT authorize either. She is very responsible about her phone and knows not to load ANYTHING on it. Calling AT&T now!!!!

Clicked on a FB ad for a Caribou coffee card for filling out a survey. Got a text to put a code in online, and in the text it stated it was going to charge me 9.99 per month after I put the code in.
9.99 showed up on my phone charges. I disputed it on my T-mobile plan, and they requested a refund and put those type of texts from 3rd party’s on a black list. Lets see if it works.

Mqube.com is a scam. Called ATT and had the charge removed. Note : this si a subscription service so you need to tell ATT you want to cancel the entire Subscription. Not just this month’s charge.. Att allows you to dispute up to $100 charges each billing cycle.

Also listed on my cellphone bill at WebDirect. It says that I am charged $9.99 for a ringtone and that it will be renewed every month. I don’t even like special ringtones, so obviously I did not download this. I suspect this breach happened after clicking on a link to win something free on facebook.

Sprint is charging me 9.99 a month for Chalkboard Quiz. I did not sign up for anything. I am trying to get this resolved with Sprint. Customer Service said they would block it, and reverse the charges for the 2 months I was charged. I still am angry that they can charge me for something I never signed up for!

Why do people post comments on here like they’re talking to the company that actually charged their account? Do they not realize that this is a website set up by attorneys who are looking for fodder with which to file class actions? Posting messages on here to companies that are charging you for services you don’t want and never intended to purchase will not stop those charges. Either call your cell carrier and have them cancel the unwanted premium service for you and see if they’ll reverse the charges or call the telephone number associated with that charge on your bill and cancel the service yourself and demand that the company issue you a refund. Don’t think I don’t feel your pain. The reason I’m on this site is because I too had unauthorized charges for “premium services” which turned out to be celebrity trivia or some such nonsense. And I agree these companies should be put out of business, but as consumers we need to take responsibility, too, and figure out the right company to call to get things fixed. Are there that many naive people out there that think that by leaving a post on this website (or some other similar site) that the charges will stop? If so, then I’m afraid there’ll never be an end to companies like the ones complained about on here . . . because it’s just too easy to take advantage of dumb people . . . and by the looks of things, there are a lot of dumb people out there.

I will be getting this out to everyone so they can realize what your doing, if it does not stop I will be going to my lawyer and finding out who you are and what company you work for and will be suing you for everything you have if you want to continue stealing from people. Just got 2 charges removed from my AT&T bill. The CSR was very helpful and explained that even though I responded ‘stop’ – the text is some sort of malware that downloads in the background on the phone. So he enabled parental controls, and hopefully this will fix the problem. I questioned him on how AT&T could allow another company to access my billing information, but he dodged the question.

Mquibe and Motricity were the two ‘companies’ that charged me – both websites in the texts were fake.

saw 2 mqube charges of 9.95 each. Tried going to the mqube.com site…it doesn’t exist.
Called ATT and they not only cancelled the 2 $9.95 charges, they also cancelled a $17 charge that I didn’t see anywhere on my bill! Plus they put a block on further charges. By the way, I recall this started after signing up for a contest at walgreens.com I thought they were trustworthy, but they have proved they aren’t. I feel stupid to have fallen for this, but I will avoid shopping at walgreens.com so I don’t have to feel idiotic getting fooled again. Walgreens has really shot themselves in the foot with promoting this sort of fraud.

M-Cube.com charged my account 20.00 for 2 downloads that we never downloaded. Companies like this need to be stopped. They are wrecking it for everyone else. ATT took off the charges, and blocked M-Qube for charging me further.
