    I received 2 text messages from 42222 out of the blue on 9/06/07. On my next cell phone bill, I had a charge for 9.99 from “m-Qube 42222 BlinkoClub – Buongiorno.” I have never been to that website, I did not sign up for any service, and I certainly didn’t receive a text message with a PIN number to activate the “account” with BlinkoClub.

    I called the phone number listed on this site and asked to have the charge refunded immediately. I want to stress that they absolutely insisted that I had signed up on their website, received a text message to my phone with a PIN, and replied to activate my account. I didn’t do any of that, but they kept insisting that I did.

    After threatening legal action via a class action suit, they agreed to send a refund check in the mail. They would not credit my cell phone account.

    After that, I called my cell phone company (Cellular One) and requested they give me a credit for the 9.99 charge since I had not authorized anything. They initially told me they would need to contact the company and request a credit from them which would show up on my bill within 2 months. I repeatedly insisted on a credit since I had not authorized any charges to my account, and they eventually did credit my account. I asked to have my account block any outside or 3rd party charges (ie ringtones, wallpapers), but they told me their system cannot block them.

    Possibly if customers start insisting their cell phone companies take responsibility for unauthorized charges, they will change their systems.

    I noticed 3 charges of 5.99 on my bill today. I got the credit from my phone company, but this bill ended on June 10th. Sprint says that it is an IM program and that they have chat transcripts. I requested a copy of them because the user of the phone that it was charged to would have no clue how to do that. We will see if it is him when the transcripts get here. Anyway, Sprint blocked the charge as of today, 3 weeks after the bill was out, so I have 3 more charges on my next bill of this crap.

    Since my last post, they sent another text to that phone. I called Sprint because supposedly this crap is blocked. I got Full credit for any new charges from this crap and actually Sprint was pretty decent about it. Credit where credit is due, they blocked it and filed a complaint on my behalf and gave me credit. I haven’t gotten any more messages, but it hasn’t been a week yet.

    Surely this is illegal? I’ve been charged 9.99 for the past two months. When I called ATT, they told me I had somehow activated this just by getting an unasked for text I hadn’t responded to correctly–just looked at it, I guess. On my ATT bill, it said Buongiorno :42222#9399. ATT was helpful, thank goodness, and after I’d gotten all upset said they could “dispute” the charges for me (why are they letting another company bill through them without their authorization?) and put a block on my cell so future scammers can’t do this anymore. Now I have to use a PIN if I really do want a game or ringtone. However why are our phone services letting this kind of thing happen??

    I was able to stop receiving messages from Blinko b insisting the telco. company to cancel my 5505 subscription. another way out is to cancel your subsciption. Good Luck to all. In Spain, we call that ” Poner te de baja “

    I called Sprint after reading everyone’s entry. Sprint has an option to block a-holes like Blinko from charging your account. The Sprint representative explained that he’s seen alot of scams like this and that Blinko is the worst out of all of them. I have auto draft on Sprint and didn’t pay much attention to my bill for months and I finally checked for this month and realized that these guys have been charging me 9.99 for the last 5 months. My wife and I have never signed up for anything. The representative for Sprint said these scam artists get your number when you enter it into a website. So becareful who you’re giving your number to. Don’t get scammed like I did!!!

    I suspected something was wrong when a simple phone call cost a small fortune.I verified that money was being extracted from my mobile by sms’s from 55050(club blinko).As many as eight a day.I found out on internet that by sending an SMS to the number 5505 with the one word BAJA you can cancel their so-called subscription.Let us unite and jail these fraudsters.

    My cellphone bill was about 10 dollars more a month than I thought it should be. My service was with Cingular. After about a year, Cingular was bought out by T-Mobile. T-Mobile’s bills are much more detailed, and that’s when I found Blinko/Buongiorno was charging me 9.99 for their service. A service I never asked for or accepted. When I contacted T-Mobile, they took it off my bill for the current month, and told me the only way to stop the service would be to text message them and tell them to stop…when they contacted us again. Since my year of “service” with these scammers was coming to an end, they sent me another message to reply to and I texted them to stop, and I didn’t hear from them again. I did, however, have to have the charge removed again the next month. I keep a much closer watch on my bill these days.

    I just checked my Sprint acct. today(because I was thinking of upgrading after 3 year) and I have charges from 2008, 2009, 2010 a total of $209.79. I’m going to call sprint right now. I can’t go back further so maybe more charges before 2008. Boy am I mad. I will be keeping my eye on billing from now on.

    if you got the unauthorized charges, you can call you phone company, they will block the charges for you in the next bill. but they are unable to refund the charges from this provider…..

    I live in Spain and I also looked for free ring tones but never authorized repeat charges. I have been billed via Movistar for over 70 euros over the past 3 months for endless service messages from Blinko, Flycel and others I did not request and do not want. I cannot find a way to stop them.

    I have never used the mobile phone. I don’t even know how to use it. Yet Movistar, my provider, says that ‘Buongiorno my alert’ has taken 9.88 Euros from my sim card without my authorisation. I want their tripes!

    The net says: “BUONGIORNO is publicly traded on Borsa Italiana’s MTA Star exchange (ticker “BNG”) and announced revenues for 2009 to amount at €259 million. BUONGIORNO operates with two lines of business: B!Digital for business and Mobile Products for consumers.”

    We imagine that the 258 million has been stolen by the means evidenced in these complaints.

    UK resident.Tried to play game of bingo online in april 11 – gave them my mobile number. They have since sent me numerous useless TEXTS costing me £85.50 in total. I emailed them with STOP and they say they will refund me and are sending me a form next week. I will believe it when I see it.

    I have been paying my AT&T bill by having the bill amount sent to my phone. (paperless) I just printed out a bill for the first time in 3 years and discovered a charge for Blinko Club. I did not authorize this. The charge to my account is $7.99 per month. Now I have to go back and find out how long it has been on my account.

    ive been charged £22.50 this month for a service i have NOT subscribed to and it is impossible for me to have used my phone as i have been hospitalised for at least 6 weeks . if i wanted this service i would of subscribd to it , i cannot understand how this can be allowed to happen and surely it must be a certain type of fraud . if i wished for you to send me such material then i would ask you too , so in future please DO NOT send me this as i am not going to pay for it and if it appears on my bill in the future then i will have no option but to inform the local authority . In the mean time any charges that are shown on my bill i will expect to be forwarded back into my account .
