This is very annoying because they send jokes (wich aren’t funny by the way just stupid)from 1am util and it drives me crazy and i dont’ know how they are getting paid because i have Metro PCS and thats a prepaid account. They also have the nerve to send me a text telling me that my account has insufficient funds and need to be paid (Whatever!) Please can someone tell me how to stop this.

To all of you who have complaints I had them to and here is what I did every 5 digit number you have to text the word stop and they will send you a confirmation message stating that they have been removed. It worked for me and I hope it works for you to

  14. stanley says:

I have tried to send the word stop to the number but it sends me a message back stating that number is not supported or user has not subscribed to sms what should I do about this because it wont go away?

  15. Slade Ulrich says:

These people keep sending me these stupid jokes and I was just told by my cell phone provider that they are charging $9.99 to my phone bill. The provider can not tell me anything about who it is that is charging me and aren’t taking any responsibility towards random billing. Keep in mind that I never signed up or gave any permission for them to bill me. As far as I am concerned, Suncom is just as responsible as the spamers for this fraud. If anyone knows of any class action suites that could help, please write on the forum so we can attack the attackers.

  16. Taylor says:

I randomly got a few joke messages from 43333. I don’t want to be charged, so please take me off the list or whatever it is.

  17. Jeanne DuPlantis says:

While looking for new ring tones for my new cell phone, I did enter my cell phone number while on their sight, but I did not authorize any charges of any kind to my cell phone bill. I can not find a way to get the daily jokes to stop. I don’t want them never did never will. I did text “stop the jokes” but they keep coming.

  18. sari says:

i keep getting a charge for joke alert on my phone bill for $9.99. i have called many times to get it taken off and it still keeps showing up. i never even ordered it in the first place! can not seem to get any help from alltel either!

  19. rene says:

Just called Alltel and they said to send a text message to : stop 23907. ALso have to call 1-800-235-7185.

  20. Jacey says:

I have never signed up for prankster to send me daily jokes to my cell phone and i can not find a way to stop them, and i want them to stop them immediately so my mother will stop yelling at me about my cell phone bill.

  21. Myra says:

My brother had two $9.99 charges show up on his phone bill from Joke Alert. He has never even received the texts from this place, but they are still charging him. We finally tracked the stop code (stop 23907) to SJA Mobile. There is a place on their website where you can cancel service by entering your phone number. We entered his number and the site confirmed the cancellation. We will see if it works, and in the meantime we are going to Alltel to dispute the charges and hopefully get any future charges from SMJ blocked. If you read the SMJ terms of service on their website, it lists all the cell providers that SMJ has “agreements” with.

  22. Linde Auger says:

Three times now I have received a ten dollar charge for joke alert- 23907 that I never ordered, and when I text stop, joke alert sends me a message saying that my message wont go through- I have to dial a ten digit phone number. Now to my demise there is another charge for Game tips-97000- that I have never ordered- never got a text from, never received any services from, yet they are making money off of me, because if I don’t pay for it, alltel will disrupt my services for non payment.

  23. Toni says:

I keep getting those ignorant jokes, and pranks on my sprint phone, they could not find where it was coming from and I’m tired of these over-charges…I’m just gonna have Sprint disable my text feature!

  24. Jeanne Marie DuPlantis says:

    See #19

  25. a says:

Reply with the message STOP and you should receive a text saying unsubscribed.

  26. fatubarin oluwaseun says:

i want to be receiving jokes every day

  27. mad says:

    from f*ing #97000

  28. Julie says:

i am getting jokes of the day sent to my cell phone and i want it stopped

  29. William Shourt says:

I received text messages from 98550 on my Sprint phone. The first one said “101 is the password —- Web Access Plus SMS Queries, Sent-to-Phone SMS Features, and Other Value Adds. 866 559 1313 1999 mthly sjamobile.net”. About five minutes later I received another message containing what appeared to be a video game cheat, followed by another saying “SJA Web Access Plus SMS Queries – Call Us Anytime 866 559 1313 help, stop, info Unlimited SMS Queries.” After a quick Google search I texted “STOP” to 98550, after which I received another message saying that I had “cancelled my subscription” and that there would be “no further charges.”

None of these messages was solicited, and I was quite annoyed at having received them. I called Sprint today (the first message was received last night) and a $19.99 charge has been added to my bill! The Sprint rep said that they’d try to remove it, but that I should call them back if it appears on my bill anyway. This type of predatory “opt-out” practice is despicable; they “subscribe” you without warning or invitation and begin charging until you tell them to stop. Absurd.

  30. Archana Shet says:

I subscribed to a 5 digit number which i think was 50015 and was charged €5 without warning. i received 2-3 messages from different 5 digit numbers everytime and everytime i unsubscribe a new 5 digit no. sends me text messages. as soon as I topped up my phone with €10 almost all the how can i stop this? credit was gone.

what the fuck is this shit? how the hell do i get rid of this shit

  33. Pinkrhino says:

My son was getting Joke Alert on his phone and was getting charged $9.99 per month and some months it was on twice. He never ordered this nor did he even know what it was. I called Alltel(according to them someone texted to join Joke Alert, my son said he didn’t even know what it was) and they said that there was nothing they could do and that we had to cancel per a 800 #. We called 800 number and it gave an email address to some help desk. I have emailed them several times with them emailing back stating they are working on my claim, but so far no other response from them and I have emailed them over and over again. I pleaded on my email to cancel any service since we never ordered it and still nothing. All tel will keep billing this which really upsets me because they should have some kind of control over this stuff it should be against the law it is so wrong. We finally cancelled my sons number all together that was the only way to rid us of this. For now my son is without his phone. My son has never even texted anyone, he was 10 then and doesn’t even know how and barely used his phone, only for emergencies. Maybe we should contact the FCC and put a complaint in, however, who are these people at JOke Alert anyway, Scammers.

  34. Doug says:

how do i stop this Prankster joke of the day from texting my phone. it is a work cell phone which has never signed upo for this. i am contacting an attorney to see if we can bring suit against them.

  35. annoyed in nashville says:

for $9.99 a month they could at least send some funny jokes. the prankster jokes are weak and offensive to anyone with a sense of humor.

  36. Ron says:

You guys are a bunch of dopes. Just reply STOP to the message and it will stop. Also, you must have given your number somewhere and not read carefully. I’m not supporting these deceptive websites, but you guys have to be a little smarter.

  37. shirley says:

did not sign up for daily jokes. they are sick.i want them stopped immediately

  38. Gen says:

The trick they pulled on me was on Facebook, linking a “get a bigger farm” idea. I had to click on the Farmvill icon they used and then it said give them my cell phone and they would send the 4-digit code to unlock the bigger farmville feature. There was no fine print about it. I thought my friend had done it and thought it okay. After 2 absurd messages that were note funny I sent a text back to them to “stop” sending. I still didn’t realize that I was going to be charged $9.99 for each of those “premium” texts. Tell why in the universe would anybody want to spend $9.99 for text message? When I found out they chaged me I called the phone company who gave me their web address and a help line email address. I then sent them many angry emails. They called today and said they would send me a refund. We’ll see.

  39. Herb Tunley Jr says:

A farmville extra coin survey popped up.I took the survey and gave my info, thinking that I needed to verify that it was me.Now I have a $9.99 charge for jokes on my cell phone that I want off of my account. Please help! P.S.I never got my coins.I hate a scam.

  40. Judy Wittke says:

I received an email from a job search company and I started receiving unsolicited text jokes on my cell phone. I didn’t sign up for jokes.

  41. Boston says:

These bastards got some shady rich scheme going. Looking back by way of the web, I see that these Flycell people have been running this scam 4 at least 3 years. Unbelievable!! U know, I thought there were laws against theft. What really stinks is that these people actually solicit 2 our children. I mean, there should b a law against THAT!! – stealing money from hard working Americans in the current economic state by way of their children – very low. What is truly sad is that this Flycell founder and owner, Alberto Montesi, was a finalist in the International Business Awards. So even the crooks r getting awards these days

  42. Dave Folts says:

Just reply with the message “stop” and it should stop – at least Laughaholics did
