I just got my phone bill and like the others I discovered bogus charges from MYINFOGUARD LLC. I wrote them an email and asked to have my service disconnected and for a refund. I never ordered such a service since the number they are billing to is a FAX Machine number.

  9. Ann Bradshaw says:

  10. Ann Bradshaw says:

I just sent one coplainthow many times do i have to fill out how crooked and fraudlant this is confirmation no is 895272

  11. Ben Miller says:

To all of you who are writing comments asking for refunds: THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY THAT BILLED YOU. This is to complain about the problem of unsolicited charges showing up on your phone bill so that action can be taken through a third party…

That being said, I was given the originating IP address of the person who subscribed to this service (allegedly). I live in Houston, Texas and the ip given was for a government computer in Colorado. I received only one charge and promptly called to complain about it. They provided me with my Wife’s “legal” first name and her maiden name….neither of which she uses as the registrant. Funny thing is, the name provided is not her legal last name anymore…nor is she even on the phone bill as an authorized person. I was told that they (myinfoguard) could not provide me with any more information, such as the email address that was provided on registration….but if I provided them with my Wife’s email they could confirm it. LOL. My charges are supposedly being reversed..we’ll see.

  12. Peter Raben says:

I just received my phone bill from Verizon and saw a charge of $12.95 + tax on behalf of My Info Guard. I never subscribed for their services and never even heard about this company. I am not going to pay this part of my phone bill, and I will use the phone number and e-mail provided on this site to cancel this service.

  14. kimberly woolever says:

  15. Rita Kalman says:

awaiting for your reply and my money you stole from me.very slyly, and quietly I might add.

  16. Corey Kling says:

I am sure now info guard is a complete scam and makes money off of people that don’t check their phone bills. I was charged before and refunded with them saying my wife filled something out online. I also put a block on 3rd party services being able to charge stuff and my wife rarely uses the internet. Then we had a house fire and in the process of trasfering ATT service, the block was removed and once again, Myinfoguard shows up on my bill again. They said the same exact thing that my wife filled something out online. I asked where the information was to access this private voicemail and the phone rep says “we send it to your email” I asked what email address. She says “I’m sorry i closed the page and cannot access it anymore”

  17. Rita Kalman says:

Iam appalled at how much stealing goes on .Who can help get our money back, and stop this from happening? Any advice appreciated.

  18. james Williams says:

Just got off the phone again with AT&T. They informed me that it is my responsibility to get this stopped by contacting myinfoguard. FYI this is month number three that I have been told this, probally not new to those who are likewise being scammed. AT&T should be blocking this at customer request since the service obviously is not legitimate. Instead they continue to allow this to be posted to my account…time to change from AT&T..how much publicity do they want?

  19. Rita Kalman says:

No reply from info guard yet. I want a full refund….

  20. Mary Ellen Gambardella says:

I received my Dec. 2009 phone bill and a charge for $12.95 for My Info Guard appeared on it. I never authorized this service, and don’t even know what it is.

  21. Ken says:

Who are these people how did they get my private info. I didn’t authorize this!!!

  24. Lorna says:

I just received a charge on my phone bill from My Info Guard for a voicemail service that I never signed up for, I don’t even have a voicemail. I will be calling on Monday to my phone co. to get this taken off. My Info Guards website says you have to submit an application to sign up for this, I never did that so how can they charge me and it looks like a lot of other people for this. I think my phone co. should not be putting this charge on my phone bill without checking with me to see if I signed up for this service. What a bogus company and they need to be stopped.

  25. Bill says:

just contacted info guard @1-888-296-3724 for my refund. This is a scam.I never authorized these charges. The company claims someone by the name of Neil Brown authorized this. They owe me $259 that the claim the will credit my bill.I will be contacting the BBB.I suggest anyone who has been scammed by this company do the same. This company is making tens of thousands of dollars on unsuspecting people.Last time I checked this is a crime……….

  26. Rita Kalman says:

Still NO WORD FROM INFO GUARD.

  27. Garry says:

I am an AT&T employee and did not sign up for this and if I am not mistaken this is fraud and theft. You can bring charges for theft identy in a broad term. I called them and told them who I was and they assured me the charges will be refunded yeah sure I will monitor this and will let you know. Call AT&T and have a third party block on charges placed on your Tel #

  28. Joe says:

ok… so stop signing up for free stuff check the term and conditions to everything and check your phone bills ya retards

  29. Joe says:

OHH an BTW if your getting charged and want to be credited dont place a third party billing block until after you recieve all your credits. you guys are stupid… nothings free and you sign up for this stuff over the internet… duh

I am getting tired of these bogus companies ripping me off, every month I receive a bill I am afraid what is being done to me next. I can not yet call them since their phonlines are not open yet. 36. Davidez Dampier says:

  37. Nam Do says:

Like all of you here, I was charged by MYINFOGUARD for $14.95. This is the first time. I have no idea what it is until reading the posts above. I filed a complaint with FTC. I will call the company and request a refund in a few hours. I certainly will also call AT&T for future third party block. I am thinking about changing local telephone company.

  46. Jeff Lujin says:

yes…the same thing happened to me. A charge of 14.95 was addedd to my AT&T phone bill. Is this legal?

  47. N.J. Woodrum says:

Just discoverd an unauthorized charge of $14.95 for My Info Guard on my latest Verizon bill and have no idea where it came from. Never heard of this company and certainly didn’t sign up for their service. Sent an email to My Info Guard support and to Verizon telling both to refund my money and never charge anything to my account again without contacting me first. We’ll see what happens… These people are crooks who hope that people aren’t paying attention to their phone charges.

  48. Steve West says:

Same as all the complaints above. I was charged $14.95 by My Info Guard on my Verizon bill without my authorization. Verizon says they’ll add a third party block now that I asked.

  49. Chris N. says:

Same problem: this one through Verizon FiOS. Makes me want to drop Verizon FiOS. I see now this has been going on for *years*?? BBB rating of D; 21 FTC complaints against them; 45 separate posts on this site alone: why is this company still in business, and why does Verizon have a partnership with them to bill on their behalf. I’d expect this in Nigeria…not the US. Where are the regulators??

  50. Benedict C. says:

same here. I just noticed that i am being charged of a service that i nevewr authorized. i was charged $14.95 on my AT&T avvount without my authorization!!!! arggghh.

  51. Benedict C. says:

same here. I just noticed that i am being charged of a service that i never authorized. i was charged $14.95 on my AT&T account without my authorization!!!! arggghh.

  52. LeeAnn Genzano says:

I noticed a charge on my monthly phone bill for $14.95. I apparently have been paying this since October 2010. I have contacted the company for a refund – this is a sevice I NEVER ordered. We shall see what happens.

  53. Richard W. says:

For all of you that read this. It is happening on all sorts of phone companies obviously. Apparently the problem happens when you set-up a “VOICEMAIL” service for you phone. They have been charging me for a while now. This is not their website, no one from their company is here or even reading this. This information is meant for people to understand they have been charged unwillingly. But yes you signed up for it when you signed up for the service its in the contract just if they don’t read you or let you know that fact you can “possibly” get a refund. Just cancel already.

  54. Cheryle C. says:

Someone signed me up for My Info Guard in 2008 using my name and the school telephone number. My principal received an email from the district telling her I had set up this account and had $12.95 per month since 2008. I assured her I had not done any such thing. I had voice mail and text messages on my personal cell phone and would not need such a service. I’m angry that the district would first assume I was guilty of doing this before even checking with me. How can they get away with doing this without authorization?

  55. Danny K says:

Same as all the complaints above. I was charged $14.95 by My Info Guard on my Verizon bill without my authorization. I called ESBI they told me no acct record for my Phone # They want me to send copy of bill . I will be calling Verizon ,after reading these posts I will not send copy of my bill statement to ESBI don’t trust this is a scam.

  56. JoAnn A. says:

This is the 2nd time I have had to call this company and demand they remove their charges from my phone bill. I NEVER signed up for this and still don’t know how they got all my information. This needs to be reported to the Dept of Consumer Affairs…they will not stop!

  57. Karen says:

I am so glad I check my phone bill every month. As soon as I saw the charge from My Info Guard I called them. They asked me for my email and birthdate. I refused. I adamantly denied making these charges. I was given a confirmation number for the credit. I sure wish I knew how they got my info!!!!

  58. Andy L says:

Same as all the complaints above. I was charged $14.95 by My Info Guard on my Verizon bill without my authorization. How is this legal?

  59. Christine says:

They are now billing my verizon fios bill 14.95 per month! I never authorized this and never heard of them until I did a google search!

  60. Gretchen says:

Yes – they are billing 14.95 thru verizon saying that I requested a fax service and back up to my computer – which is not true. No one from our family signed up for this. They are giving me the run around that they will only credit me for 3 months….I have to send a request for the other 3 months – in writing – and there was NO promise for that credit!!!! somebody needs to catch these theives!

  61. Paula says:

Yes, I got billed 14.95 thru AT&T. I called today and had the service cancelled and hopefully getting my money back. They asked my birthday which is weird and my email address. I stupidly gave them the information but it is a matter of public record. I didn’t care about the email address because its a free one I use. I am going to report them to our attorney general’s office.

  62. Vicki says:

I was charged $14.95 on my phone bill this month. Called and was told that I filled out a detailed form in May online. Never happened. I told them that I never authorized any charges and they are supposedly crediting the amount back to AT&T. AT&T rep told me if they continued to charge report them to the FCC. I got online and found this site.

  63. DAN G. says:

I too was charged 14.95 for an enhanced service on my phone bill thru ATT. Further more, I find the supposed enrollment date was dated back to APRIL 2011, you bet I will be making sure it will not be billed again. Now I will submit my request for a credit and all MONIES owed back to me! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Who is running this SCAM????????

  64. Susan says:

I have been being charged 12.95 a month through ESBI for private voice mail #. This goes back to 2008. They said they will reimbures me throuh Frontier billing. 492.10. I cannot believe this has happened. I was wondering why my bill was so high. Hope to see my credit!

  65. Roger Nelson says:

I got hit with this crap also starting procedures in the morning with state attorney general

  66. James Huff says:

I was charged 14.95 on my phone bill this month. I never filled out any forms or called them to say I wanted their service. I also never contacted AT&T and told them I wanted this service either.

  67. Teresa Watson says:

Just opened my AT&T bill this morning, and found a new charge. I have not idea what it even is. However, I have my mother living with me who has dementia and I’m afraid so may have signed up for something. How can they just add a bill to my At&T bill?

  68. Margaret Gage says:

I discovered a charge on my AT&T bill from “Enhanced Services Billing, Inc.” for $15.85, and, upon looking at the final page of the bill, I found that this referred to something called “MyInfoGuard”. I have no idea what this is or how I was signed up for it. I called and cancelled the “service” and was able to get three months credited to my account, but for the fourth month I had to freakin’ e-mail them. This is completely ridiculous. I’ll be posting on Facebook. . .

  69. Carla says:

    my letter to:
    Third Party Billing Practices
    My Info Guard, LLC
Enhanced Services Billing, Inc. ( ESBI )

I learned today that since December 27th, 2010 you’ve been collecting $14.95 each and every month for services that I have NOT requested or been receiving. First and foremost when I allegedly signed up for your fraudulent program (whatever it is) I wasn’t near any sort of computer. It’s IMPOSSIBLE for this to have come from me and I assure you nobody was at in my home using my identity. In addition, if I had signed up for some sort of fax program, it’d been through my business and NOT my personal home line.

I am not at all comfortable in the fact that I had to provide your company my date of birth and email address when I called your 1-888-458-3724 phone number today and spoke to Sandy out of Clearwater, Florida. If you are going to use that information to attempt to tell me that I gave that information to you on December 27, 2010 I have loads of evidence that will solidify to the Federal Trade Commissioner, Better Business Bureau, Attorney General’s Office, etc. where exactly I was on that day and how impossible it was for me to have authorized any such transaction.

As I explained to ‘Sandy’, I called my phone company today to cancel my service because of the high bill I’ve been paying. It was then that I was informed of the $14.95 charge YOU have been adding to my account since December and how this sort of thing happens way too often. In researching your business practices I see you’ve been using these deceptive and unethical practices for many years. I demand a full refund of the $119.60 and interest. Sandy claims she issued a $44.85 credit that will apply to my phone bill within the next couple of billing cycles, however I also insist you refund the additional $74.75 plus interest that you have scammed through the use of our phone company.
