I have worked for the past 7 months for a dentist opening a new office. I was told at first that I would be paid overtime and then after the first 2 months was then told I would not be paid overtime because he didnt have to pay overtime because the number of employee's. I know that I have hours and hours of overtime of which I was paid regular hourly pay. Then I quit my job last week due to hostile working enviroment with the Dentist. I have received my last pay check and he not only cut my hourly pay but deducted money for the hours on my last paycheck. I did payroll and was NEVER told to lower my hourly pay. I was never informed, I got the check stub and had to ask why it was that way. I am in the state of Arkansas. Do I have any recourse at this time? I am so frustrated!!! Can he do that to me??

I have two situations. 1.) I am a non-exempt employee who is required to be in uniform and ready to go at the start time (i.e. 12:00am). Prior to the shift we are not allowed to clock in, while putting on our equipment. Also we have to be fully dressed at the end of the shift and then clock out. Once we clock out we need to spend another 10-15
minutes to get undressed and put equipment away. 2.) I have been written up a couple times beacause my employee(upper Mngt.) said I was tardie, per the time card. However, I am there before the shift starts I and my immediate supervisor's can account for that. So, let's say shift starts at 12:00am and I clock in at 12:01am, I am now late, and that tardie goes in my file. If I clock in at 12:09am I am now considered late when I submit my time sheet, which is a completely different form. So, 12:09am = 7.75hrs for the day. Up to 12:08am = 8hrs. paid. Yet 12:01 still = a late charge, even though I was there ready to go before the shift started. What should I do. They also use these tardies against me when other employers call. Each time I have been wrtten up it is usually when I ask for time-off for interviews with other employers. The thing is they are aware that I am trying to leave and offer their support.????????????

Thank you.
